It must have failed to install the first time. I've found sometimes takes a few seconds for Vortex to deploy a mod when you enable it, and if you close the program just before it does the mod might have ended up not properly installed and enabled. This mod is really just one file that modifies the default control map when it gets placed in the data folder. You can enable or disable it to remove the file at any time, there's nothing that gets modified in the game's saved files.
I think it should. I haven't compared the control files between SE and Legendary to say with 100% certainty, but I don't see why they would be different.
I have marked "Change 1-8 hotkeys" as the main file since SSE Engine Fixes has a feature that disables switching the point of view with the scroll wheel.
"Only mouse wheel zoom is disabled, mouse wheel scroll in menus still works as normal" - is it possible to make a version that disables/reassigns mouse wheel scroll in menus as well? I have the infinite scrolling problem when I try to scroll using the mouse wheel, so I'd like to assign it to a key or disable it completely.
Will this work with old Skyrim? Can this also change the action for scrolling instead of it being completely disabled? It would be great if it could utilize scrolling for speeding up and slowing down between walking and running.
This mod will not disable scrolling. I just revised the description to hopefully make this more clear. It should also work for old Skyrim. The primary reason I made this mod is to disable the scroll wheel functionality during gameplay. It just so happens that zooming is its function, so the function is relocated to the keyboard shortcuts. You can follow the link in the description to very easily edit the scroll wheel function as a toggle between walking and running.
You are welcome. I was thinking earlier that my choice of F1 and F2 might not be ideal, since SkyUI uses those keys for "armor sets". I've never used the Script Extender or SkyUI, but lots of people might, especially once the SE version gets a beta status. I was thinking to change the zoom functionality to + and - keys. I don't think those are used by Skyrim SE, but I'm not sure if SkyUI uses them for something. Do you know?
Edit: Actually I think SkyUI might not even use the same Skyrim controlmap.txt file to assign controls for the interface. If anybody know please post a comment here as this might make this mod incompatible with SkyUI and I'll add a note in the description so that people don't try to use it with SkyUI. Thanks.
Edit 3: SkyUI uses the same configuration file, so the mod is compatible with SkyUI. I uploaded two more versions of the mod with additional changes specifically for SkyUI.
You might want to change the keys to '<' to Zoom Out and '>' to Zoom In instead? That looks like a good alternative. + and - keys are used by some mods iirc.

edit: a simple reinstall fixed it
