Please no requests for potential compatibility issues with other mods or more colours. I tried both Black and Orange and neither worked properly in-game, so I will consider this a completed pack.
Some spells have natural lighting applied - see the Wall of Storms picture. I cannot change this without adding .esps, and as this was originally meant to be a simple retexture, I'm not really wanting to set out to do that.
Bug reports and issues are fine, but if you use mods like Electrify, or any spell pack out there - expect some weirness that I cannot fix for you. :)
Apocalypse Spell pack is compatible. Visually Animated Enchants works but requires you to overwrite some of its files with this mod. Electrify is considered incompatible by the main author, though somebody on his mod's page suggested you could overwrite the textures, I cannot confirm this, I don't use that mod myself.
Please remove the purple hue or light around it or tell me how to do it and will try it this is one of the best mods out there for lightning man. I read that it would require an .esp it dont matter man if you can let me know how to do it I would do it and post it if you want.
I tried copying the screenshot I wanted to share directly into a comment, like had worked before for me with a gif (of all things), but it appeared to be unsuccessful, so I added my image to the user images section, which is currently pending approval by Lagruej, and I also uploaded it to ImgBB so you guys can see it if you want!
It's the incredibly good-looking, and honestly just straight up gorgeous "Pink Power"option from this retexture pack for the Voltage mod. Y'all are really sleeping on pink shock magic in your Skyrim, because come on, it's the least downloaded file from this mod page, which I CAN understand...aside from one specific option. GREEN?! GREEN SHOCK SPELLS are more appealing to people than pink ones?!?!?
I mean those are the two least downloaded options, and the unique downloads are 195 to 123, so still close, but come on, folks hahaha. Give pink a chance <3
It's been over a year and I only saw this now but thanks for sharing your experience and screenshot, the pink indeed does look amazing in action. Your image does far better justice to it than I did, much gratitude. (I accepted the photo, I didn't even know that was something I had to do lol)
I swear soon I'll get the game reinstalled and make this mod what it should be. I've been stuck in the modding world of FO4 for far too long...
So there is a way to fix it, the reason it was never done is because it requires an .esp. Some of the glows and lights applied to magic are tacked on by the Creation Kit and aren't part of the textures. Since the original voltage was a simple retexture for lightning, it didn't need to change the light colours. What I've uploaded here is simply recolours of those retextures.
That said, I might return to this soon and see what I can do about giving it a FOMOD installer as well as fixing these glows and making .esp installs optional. Both are long due.
Hey, I've made a quick and dirty retex based on one of these for my own game, and I was considering uploading it. What are the permissions around voltage? It's a nice deep indigo, much more saturated than other lightning mods. Not remotely realistic, very fantasy looking
Can you update the files, not unless you are doing that right now, because i want to install the red lightning. Maybe the green later get back to me as soon as you can. :) Thanks.
i've installed voltage and then the golden colour over it but nothing happens, it's as if i never installed the reclour at all; i replaced the files when i installed them :0 what am i doing wrong?
You don't need to install the original Voltage mod. Just this one. However it's important to note any other mods that affect lightning will break this one. Check your load order out for anything that may do that.
