So, I'm not sure if you were aware, but this mod edits Vampire facegen. It replaces the heads with the default human heads which causes a vampire blackface bug. Discovered this while digging around in SSEedit to try and figure out why all my vampires had black faces no matter what mods I disabled. I never thought to check the mod that says it only alters height xD
Just a heads up, but unless you found a work around you will find that changing scale (whether it be via RACE record, NPC record, or physically scaling the skeleton nif) in SE does NOT modify the collision hit box. Minor adjustments dont matter too much but you may find if you have towering Altmer, that arrows shot at their head will often miss. Or if playing as a tiny Bosmer, arrows may go right over top of your head but still hit.
It may not be an issue with this mod, it all depends how drastic the changes you make are. I only bring it up because Ive used other similar mods before where it was an issue. I spent a lot of time trying to resolve the issue with my bigger giants mod but havent as of yet found a fix. The best method I found was changing scale to the RACE records, which seems affect collisions on every 2/3 actors roughly, but quite often the collision will still not scale correctly. I believe it is some sort of hard coded error where the priority of these scaling instructions have changed from LE or something causing collisions to not always scale correctly and always act as if they are 1.0.
did you try this mod is it worth it? are hitboxes broken? i'm almost done with my perfect mod list of 370 mods i need this last thing that i think it helps with immersion
Thanks for making this mod. I was wondering however, could you make 3 different variants of each race? short, normal, and tall? That would make this mod even better, thanks.
Some advice to other players who use this...the author recommends Player Size Adjuster and First Person Camera Height Fix SSE...use it. This mod adjusts everyone else but the player.
I perhaps remember wrongly, but considering they use the same skeleton, doesn't skyrim alter the strength and speed of a creature diverging from the 1.0 scale? Furthermore I've read in other mod like this that the npcs will eventually fix themselves back to the 1.0 scale.
As far as I am aware there is no strength ability, however the speed is affected by height but its not drastic. The reason Bethesda didn't vary character height much is because of the idle animations. If you were to use this mod without another mod to eliminate scaling(such as: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4259), the characters will literally grow (or shrink) into the 1.0 scale. This is not permanent and they would go back after the idle animation ends. Automatic scaling prevents hands from pushing into tables or your spoon from sticking out the bottom of the cooking pot. It's virtually unnoticeable with the vanilla height variations which are small but present. I like more height variation and find the scaling to idle animations more distracting than their hands (and things) moving through objects.
Thank you for the mod! I love mods that increase race height disparities, if nothing else to make them back to being at least similar to the ones in other tes games. It looks like huge differences, but looking at the heights in feet the difference between the tallest & the shortest isn't even as big as the differences between the tallest & shortest humans that I personally have met in my life. Anyway, it's very fun & keeps things interesting, & your mod absolutely delivers.
So with "Player Size Adjuster and First Person Camera Height Fix SSE" does the height you set take priority or does that mod; what I mean is if you adjust your height with that mod does it make you even shorter than your preset heights?

How did you proceed to avoid these problems?
