I've uploaded a non-parallax version and advise users who aren't using the "SSE Parallax Shader Fix (BETA)" to install this version to prevent minor visual glitches from occuring.
I was wondering if something is off with my setup because at least that bone pile looks on your screenshots looks much more cooler than mine. I have like one image put on pile, maybe one or two bones on top of it.
Just noticed the sc_chest02.dds texture is not included in this set. It is the same as sc_chest01.dds but the sc_chest01.nif mesh included here points to the missing one.
For further improvement the .nif has some visible UV-errors.
Thanks for staying close to vanilla design with this one
You're right about that, thanks for the heads up. They don't do anything at this point, because parallax has been disabled on all meshes. I'll remove them asap.
Hi! Was just wanting to give a friendly reminder of the parallax files still included in the 2K and 4K non-parallax editions. I just saw this comment and figured I'd give a quick poke. These are the ones in question, just to make it easy to locate the pesky fellas. It's not necessarily a big deal to delete them manually, I just figured you'd want to know. Lovely mod, seriously wonderful work! :)
I do not want to be picky, I am just wondering if it is a bug from my end. But I noticed that the craters all have seams in the middle (glowing part). Is this something that could be looked into?
Thanks for the quick reply. I do have Ruins Clutter Improved installed - I was not aware that that mod interferes with this mod...
Right now, Soul Cairn HD is overwriting all my other mods, including Ruins Clutter Improved. My craters still look different than those in your screenshots. I am a bit puzzled what might be the problem.
Actually, when I look at the mesh from your mod in Nifskope using your texture, I can quite easily see visible seams.
Here is a screenshot from nifskope that shows the seam. There are actually 4 seams (one on each quarter).
And on another note, I checked Ruins Clutter Improved and its mesh + texture looks more or less like your screenshot. So I am a bit confused about this now.
Ruins Clutter Improved actually does so, with a non-seam UV layout. There would be 2 options to fix the seam:
1) use your (vanilla) layout and make the bordering regions of the texture more uniform to blend things; 2) use RCI's layout and just make it high res, using your rock textures and RCI' crater mid-part as a base.
Unfortunately, I am not good enough to do any of these, and no one has ever done so for the craters in fact. What a shame.. :)
Is the 2K non-parallax version definitely not parallax because the file name downloaded says parallax whereas the file name for the 4K non-parallax version says non-parallax?
Yes, it is, I just gave it the wrong name when uploading it. Corrected it, but Nexusmods didn't update the file name apparently. Reuploaded it now, but it's essentially the same version. Thanks for mentioning it.
I just tried this mod first time. And I have very strange bug. I started walking in Soul Cairn, and something didn't feel wright. I noticed, that when I walk over rocks, I don't move up or down, but just go straigth through. Than I realised, that I can walk through floors and that magic barrier. It's like I have turned off collision, but I don't. Becouse I can walk just down and not up. So I think, this is problem with this mod, becouse I don't have any other mod that changes Soul Cairn.
