When opening in outfitstudio it is asking if i want to optimize the nif file. Wich do i choose? Yes or no? Im confused help me out, because some say not to optimize.
I have a question that maybe someone here can answer before I go fiddling around and break something.
I would like to use some files Selective Quivers https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7548?tab=description to replace the quiver for glass arrows. However in doing so it obviously overwrites the mesh from this mod, which in turn changes them a steel quiver, but at the original size. And of course changing the mesh back to this file's mesh gives it a glass quiver at reduced size. As someone with zero knowledge of use with CK, SSEEdit, or any other tools of such nature (and who goes absolutely cross eyed when trying read or watch tutorials on such subjects) is it possible to achieve an end result of giving glass arrows a steel quiver at reduced size? Assuming, of course, that is not achievable through by way of using both mods at once. Hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction of how to do so without causing my whole computer to spontaneously combust, because that's basically been my luck anytime I have attempted even the most simple of changes using SSEEdit, and Creation Kit makes my head hurt.
If not, then it's just a matter of which option do I prefer. Decisions are hard.
Is there a way to make this compatible with Closer Quivers? The last one loaded overwrites and ideally we'd have smaller quivers that are closer to the NPCs backs.
Yes you can add them mid play through, as for conflicts just make sure the files in my mod overwrite anything else. You are not the first to ask about smaller quivers. The answer is not really as the arrow needs to be the same size or it looks weird in the bow, so reducing the quivers much more would look odd. SM
*grabs your hands, looks deep into your eyes* Thank you. Thank you so much! *releases you and backs away* My apologies for creeping you out. My emotions of joy and relief overcame me.
(Bwhahahaha) ;-)
No, seriuosly thanks a ton. This is so exactly what I wanted without really knowing it. Now I just have the problem of wanting it for several arrow mods out there. Sigh.... Don't suppose you'd be willing to accept requests or post a youtube tutorial for dummies (severly modding challenged, but struggling to overcome and actually contribute something to this community that has given me so much.
The very first thing that comes to mind is Hunters Carved Arsenal. It is absolutely stunning, but the quiver... You'd never get arrows out of that thing with out up ending it. LOL Some with these other. All of them use the base Steel Arrow model and its a great model except that it needs exactly what you did to it. As for silver arrows... Skyrim is the land of undead; silver is a must even if you aren't technically playing an archer. Then, I just thing Phenderix looks like a kick in the pants to play, but I haven't had a chance yet.
Hi, I can do resized quivers for all of them as optional files if you like? Give me a day or so to get round to it! SM Edit: Silver Arrows and Hunters Arsenal quivers are now in optional files. Enjoy! Phenderix Arcane Archery uses vanilla meshes so it is already covered, Although his Magical World mod that includes the Arcane Archery one doesn't.
I added pics to show the resized quivers for Silver Arrows and Hunters Carved Arsenal. Added a sorta side shot and a pic from the back to really show them off. I know for myself, a picture really is worth a thousand words when it comes to something like this. Thank you so much!

Really impressive how carefully the resizing was done to keep a realistic arrow size while fixing the scale issue.
Ps: its about the phenderix nif files.

I really want to use your resized quivers for the follower mods I'm working on. Any chance?

Thank you for the pictures!
I think you win the prize for first ever pictures uploaded to one of my mods!
