This mod deletes a few trees and shrubs in the Pale, until I update the mod you can clean it using xEdit. Even if you don't clean it, it is unlikely it would cause any issues. I am running a 200+ mod load order and haven't encountered any problems.

This mod probably isn't compatible with Skyrim Battle Aftermath SE and Civil War Battlefields, as I made this as an alternative to them and therefore have battles in similar locations. You can try to play around with load order, but use at your own risk. If anyone one wants to make a compatibility patch - feel free to.

I plan to add a few more battles in the future, but no comment on when that will be.

    Enjoy the mod, cheers!

I've been looking through various "battle and execution" mods to make it fele like an actual wartorn landscape, and NONE Of them, even the really small ones, make use of ESLs. It's discouraging, cause I'm hopeless with mod tools, and it's the one thing I haven't found yet lol

I'm having the same. I'm going to try and set up SSEEdit or Wyre thingy and change it to an ESL

Hope this gets a Northern Roads compatibility patch some day. It's the best and most realistic civil war aesthetic mod out there, IMO

I love this mod. Walking around the aftermath one in the pale was amazing.

Love the mod, it adds a level of immersion that is needed in a so-called war torn province. But does anyone else have an issue with bodies disappearing from the various locations. I first noticed it when the Stormcloak body disappeared from the cage outside Solitude. But I've seen other locations where there is blood and items, but the bodies are gone. One area just had bits of armor strewn about.

I should note i'm using the version that is linked below in the forum, if that makes a difference.

What is the actual difference between this and Battle Aftermath?

Because looking at what both mods add, and my previous use of Aftermath, they seem to be nearly the same.

They are the same idea but different locations and different scenes. I use them both and haven't seen any problems. Even if they were to affect the same place, it would most likely turn into an even bigger battlefield.

I would love to update this mod at some point, but I lost access to my account (old email and didn't log in for 6 months), which is why I made this one. So if I did update it with more battles it would end up being under an entirely new mod because I doubt I will be able to recover my account at this point.

I don't have as much time to mod anymore but I have a lot of cool ideas if anyone still has interest. More battle aftermaths, more checkpoints, some burnt and destroyed farm houses or small homesteads and camps after the armies rolled through, some smaller aftermaths between smaller factions like bandits and guards, vampires and dawnguard/vigilants, civilians that were killed by bandits or soldiers, I also really liked the public hangings added by Honored Dead on Legendary Edition but they seem impossible to get to work properly.

Overall, the goal would be to make it feel like violence and war exist without the player having to be there or be involved, and by the time you arrive in Skyrim a lot of blood has already been shed, to ironically make Skyrim feel more alive.

    Let me know ideas.

Updating sounds good. I haven't used this mod yet but its one I'm watching and thinking about using. Adding more isn't without possible downsides, you have more chance of incompatibilities and performance drop the more that gets added. But as long as its not too overboard with more stuff and is pretty compatible with other mods (or has patches available, or at the very least has good information about what its incompatible with) more is good.
Even without adding more new versions that fix any bugs, help with incompatibilities, etc. is a good thing.

This would be great if you expanded it with Dawnguard/Vampire attacks and the main story/Dragons...very small villages, razed to the ground.

Wold be cool if you could revisit this mod! I Much prefer this to Battle Aftermath, which adds a lot of unnecessary stuff. Beter to just use vanilla assets, like you did!

For now, here is a cleaned version + esl flagged (i regenerated facegen)

@LegendaryScully12 if possible, I'd like to obtain your permission to have this ported over to Xbox?

And if provided, may I have permission from @Poepkat for the clean version? With Scully's blessing of course.

preCombines. I know it was an issue in Fallout4. I just wonder if that's an issue in Skyrim.
    1. No, it's not. Skyrim wasn't made with precombines like Fallout 4 was.

Apparently needs some cleaning since I'm getting an LOOT alert...

Then again, that's also the case for some mods from the damn creation club...

Too bad though;, I actually like this mod : it actually make the war APPEAR in the game besides the quest's battles
