I tried this mod for the first time and it's amazing how dragons stop spawning. 10/10

I wish we were able to set drawgon encounter to like 30 days only. or 15 days. not 3 days like vanilla

The mod Timing is Everything allows you to set the days between attacks.

I've used this mod a lot (since there isn't really any alternatives) but I have constant issues with the mod disabling itself at random. Sometimes it keeps dragons blocked and saves the MCM setting but on other occasions it will just swap back to No for reasons that are beyond me. Just frustrating since I don't want to be constantly checking it to ensure dragons are blocked.

      Hi TheDrawable,

I don't know which circumstances have lead to the trigger of the variable for you, but you should be aware that this variable is used by some quests in Skyrim (mainly for the main story). This can be the reason why it is sometimes turned off without you realising.

From what I've heard, the most recent version of MCM likes to default to things every time you open the game.  There's a patch for vanilla settings (my difficulty kept referring to novice, survival off constantly) but as I'm having a similar problem in my build I think that's likely the culprit.  However, I find if you set it to off it will stay that way until you close the game.

That is a very bad behaviour for MCM to do...

does not work for me, most probably because of skyrim unbound conflict, that's my guess or maybe with deadly dragons assault system.
I checked with console, this mod correctly set the variable so it's not this mod, it's definitely conflict.
edit: damn the incompatibility is deadly dragon assault system and here I wanted to pair the two, the irony!
edit 2: a note for uses reading this: I posted about this issue in deadly dragon page and he said his mod has nothing to do with vanilla assault system and he even ran a through test on records of his mods to be sure. so you guys might wanna give it a try, maybe it works for you.

after main quest, a blade in the dark is finished, it sets back dragon encounters variable back on. how does that scripted event pair with the mod?

The MCM menu always shows the current state of whether random dragons are active or not. Once you finish that quest, you can disable it again.

Can this mod enable you to essentially make dragons extinct? I do not know if the roost dragons ever respawn eventually but if they don't and no random dragon encounters occur, would it be possible to wipe (almost) every dragon in the game? I'm looking to eventually extinct them on my character as an "ultimate dragonslayer". Only after unlocking every shout of course lol.

      From the mod's description:
"It should be noted that already spawned dragons will not despawn with this mod. This means that once you kill all placed dragons from the game, since random dragons can't appear, you should not have any dragons in the game."

      Enjoy x)

The mod won't show up in my MCM settings. It only shows SKYUI and another mod i have. I use vortex on Skyrim SE, and it is in my load order, so i dont understand why it won't show up

Randomly has stopped working for me, I'm getting attacked by dragons nearly every time I fast travel like in vanilla even when the mcm says "yes" to blocking random dragons. Not sure what happened I've used this mod without issue for 1000+ hours until now

Possibly yeah I'm still trying to figure it out, definitely an issue on my end though. I'll report back if/when I figure out what went wrong

Are you sure that it is random dragons?
"What exactly does it block? It blocks:

      • Dragons from appearing when you change location.
      • You will no longer receive bounty letters concerning dragons.
      • It blocks the event "Corpses in the aftermath of a dragon attack, Dog left behind" (WESJ18) from happening."

Dragons that are already in place at the world will not get blocked.
