Thank you for the fantastic mod! The difference is striking and really raises immersion. Objects are now covered in snow the way one would expect them to be in reality.
Do mountain meshes have the same plague? I feel like when viewed from certain angles, mountain meshes with a snow shader sometimes look darker than the snow on the landscape (and no, i don't have a mismatched shader, mine looks perfect 99% of the time)
Yes, mountains have vertex colors and that affects the snow. I have a patch for this in my Majestic Landscapes/Vanaheimr ERM Fixes mod, but it basically requires one of those parent mods.
You can see/never unsee this issue where the top of a mountain/cliff mesh meets a solid snow landscape texture.
You can download the Majestic Landscapes version, and take only the mountain color fix part (which removes color on all mountains). The Vanaheimr version is updated to erase the snow mountains only, but I won't be updating the ML versions.
I've reached out to Kojak regarding permissions, since my mod is CC-BY-SA. If I can't include an edited mesh, then I'll make a patch to revert my edit of the nordic tower to prevent a mismatch between the bottom floor and the exterior.
It will generally work quite well with seasons, since it mostly edits the base objects. A small patch is needed for Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen though, but I'll look into that before the end of the week.
A patch could be made but would involve copying a bunch of dlc02 meshes and doing the same cleaning process on them and creating a plugin patch to resolve the differences in model assignments.
Most of the details of the snow-covered exteriors are obscured so I'd let my patch win for now.
I'll take a look at this, since it's vanilla meshes and I don't need to obtain any permissions. Ironically it will use the dlc02 meshes I had previously included by accident.
Haha! I just saw you talking about dlc02 meshes before posting, I was wondering if there could be a coincidence, I'm glad there is one. You were quick with the patch, I'll try it as soon as I can, thank you very much, that's kind! Kudo + follow!
Edit: I uploaded pictures to get an idea of the visual
I have some kind of weird separation line across staircase on bleak falls barrow. I use bds3 and other mesh fixes like dlizzios etc. This mod should fix that problem but unfortunately it does not: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/15757 Maybe your mod reverses that fix.
It's possible, I've not noticed that issue but the mod you linked may change the specific snow type on the static which would conflict with my edit. I don't touch anything related to that specific reference.
The changes the linked mod makes to those meshes is included in my mod (same as SoS). I would need to see screenshots of what you're still experiencing.
As you can see: https://ibb.co/99fqKg0F When I use more informative console it points to your mod (on left side of stairs seam) and to dlizzios mesh fixes (on the right side of stairs seam). This screenshot is taken without bds 3 fix that I previously mentioned.

Trying to save some performance by keeping mountain/cliff meshes low poly.
It looks amazing, I just dont think I can get it to work nicely with Gate To Sovngarde without a lot of hours spend that I dont have :(
Do you advise me to overwrite your esp with his? Can a patch could be possible?
Thank you!
