does he really download the archives of the seven mods? it seems impossible to me... the game matches the download of archives with the names of plugins, but the name of plugins does not match the names of archives....
Several of them come in with either a black body or head. And all of the ones with 'mercenary' dialog cannot be hired. To make new hirelings requires editing a core script - so is highly unadvised. - None of the hireling quests were implemented, going as far back as the original mod.
You CAN convert all of those hirelings to regular followers. I just did that with my copy, and outlined the steps here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/7893?tab=bugs
As for fixing the various black head or body glitches, I also spent today editing this esp and re-saving every single follower, thus fixing the issue. It has to be done manually opening each one of them up and getting Creation Kit to see what you do as a 'change' (so you make a change, hit ok, then open it again and make another change to back to the original value - do this for the skin tone value, that seems to be the place to do it).
I'm no sitting on a fixed esp - but I doubt anyone will see this for months.
(It looks like I already left a comment about this in here down below right before I started making the edits. Took me all day so I didn't realize that... but it's done now - and my esp seems to work with the fix.)
I did find that after a fix, I still saw a black body on a new game. So I edited the esp one more time and changed one NPC picked at random, then changed that NPC back, then saved it - since that time they've all looked good. So if you see a bad NPC, do that - but that shouldn't happen with this copy.
I don't get it... Do i just install the fix without the other mods? Or does your fixed copy still needs the ajd mods? Hoping you'll still reply even though this is a very old post...
This little script extender plug instantly fixes any dark face bugs you can encounter from old follower or summons mods lacking proper facegen data. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42441
Only thing left on my wish-list would be to have the correct racial voice-packages applied to each NPC ^^ Male Khajiit or Orcs sounding like nords or elves just feels off most times.
Quick question: I want to download this but Dominion's More Khajiit mod has a CTD in Nightgate Inn that i am not willing to deal with (See Here), does anyone know if that bug persists in this mod or was it fixed? The description makes it sound like you do not have to use all the mods but im not sure and do i have to use any special programs like sseedit to do this? Thank you.
I think the cause of the black faces is that the original uploader of the esp may or may not have hit 'control - F4' in creation kit... which you MUST DO... but doesn't seem to have then uploaded the changes to face geometry that that made.
- I found this out when I started going through the esp and changing the hairs to those from KS Hairs, and then got black faces again... and in googling how to fix that, I realized what seemed to have been missing from the original esp.
SO...
If you're getting black faces with this mod, you can open it in creation kit, select ALL of the NPCs is adds (you can search under actors for 'ajd' and that will show just the NPCs of this mod, and show all of them)... then hit 'control - f4' - creation kit will will give one of those "stuff I gotta warn you about' popups you can hit yes to all on, then it will appear to be crashing... giving you the 'not responding' message windows apps give when they freeze up... but it is really just taking a silly long time to process everything. Eventually it comes back with 'done'. - Do NOT save the esp... just exit out. It made the files... and saving the esp is not needed and might end up writing to the esp anything else you may have done on purpose or on mistake (if you changed something on purpose, you know what you did, and know if you want to save it, and you can...)
That control-f4 basically makes face geometry. It will now work on your system just fine... if you were to upload it somewhere, you would have to package all of that new face geometry with it or people who downloaded it would get black faces... I think that is what is happening here.
- Especially because this mod just gives the esp, and then tells us to go package all the files ourselves... so we know we don't have the face geometry that came with this esp, and what we package will be subtlety different...
