PSA: Please Treat Mod Authors, Curators, and Translators with Respect
Recently, there has been a troubling increase in toxic behavior directed at modding content creators across various platforms, including Nexus and Discord. While it is perfectly acceptable to have differing opinions about a mod, whether you admire it, disagree with the author’s vision, or encounter bugs, respect must always be upheld.
Remember, most modders are hobbyists who share their work freely; they are not professionals offering a paid service. This means there is no entitlement to demand modifications or issue ultimatums. Constructive criticism is both welcome and crucial for improvement, but the current trend of baseless insults, intimidation, and even personal threats is wholly unacceptable. Disturbingly, some authors have been subjected to calls for self-harm behavior (we have seen authors being told to hang themselves by users for having issues in their mods) that not only undermines the modding community but also causes real harm to those who generously create and share their work. If this toxic atmosphere persists, it will drive away talented creators, lead to project abandonments, and push people to quit modding entirely. Behind every mod stands a passionate individual volunteering time and effort to enhance the gaming experience for others. Let us foster a culture of respect and mutual assistance so the modding community can continue to thrive.
To those who already conduct themselves respectfully, we extend our gratitude. We also apologize for the negative impact this behavior may have caused on your experience. Thank you for helping maintain a positive, collaborative environment.
Hey everyone! I hope you enjoy this dirtcliff ivy mod. You can make some feedbacks in here so I can improve it. Also if you have any question, feel free to ask here or in my Discord Server, it can always be interesting! If you liked the mod, don't forget to endorse it!
Thank you for the auto-endorser, that will be SUPER useful because I have ADHD and since we're prevented from endorcing until 15 min after download I REGULARLY forget to endorse because my brain is a sieve.
