My sorting mod of choice in late-LE and SSE. Now, MO2 says v1.0 is form 43... as was my 0.9 DL from 2018 -- easy fix, but. Same form 43 with BCS and BCSLL patches. What gives?
I'll give this one a try! My current renaming/sorting Mod works very well, but I sometimes struggle to find simple things like Quest Items listed under Potions instead of as a Poison, or otherwise. This one has simple Parenthesis tags, and I personally use them for a lot of things; and I don't feel up to the task of renaming them all individually... so, this Mod seems perfect!

I don't know if this forum is still active but I have a problem with the sorting of one certain category. Mostly everything works as intended like the soul gems being named "Soul Gem III" instead of "Common Soul Gem". The Category I'm having problems with are the potions which in my opinion are the most annoying things in the game. Unlike all other items they have the same names as in vanilla. (e.g. "Blacksmith's Potion", "Philter", Draught" and "Elixir" instead of "Potion of Fortify Smithing I", "II", "III", "IV"). Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? I already tried de- and reactivating + deinstalling and installing the mod again?
can u make this mod compatible with Legacy of the Dragonborn + his artifact mods compatibility?
im suggesting to add a code in front of the displayable items, like U or Displayable or D or anything u want actually, all im suggesting is give it a mark / sign :D
Update 18 November: I have updated to version .7. This corrects and finishes almost all of the books, notes, letter, etc. Version .6 (earlier today) tweaked the potions.
I am also releasing the Book Covers Skyrim patch. It is stand alone, so if you only want books sorted, you can forgo using the main file.
Please let me know in the message forum if you have any complications or suggestions (see below). I have deliberately included every book record from the BCS .esp in the patch so that IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOUR LOAD ORDER IS as it relates to Book Covers Skyrim and the main file. So long as the patch is AFTER BCS.
I'm also proceeded on the assumption that we will not have a SKYUI interface any time soon, so in version .8 I will try to sort magic a little better with the favorites list in mind. I am also open to any suggestions as to anything else to improve on the mod.
Look for version .8 to be released some time next week.

I see on your Description that you planned on releasing version 0.6 after Book Covers Skyrim SE 3.8 was released. Since BKS SE is now at version 4.0, do you still plan on releasing version 0.6 of your mod?
Hi, VaBhodi. I was wondering how do you make a sorting mod? I have been trying to make one for ages but nothing works. Any tutorial or idea you can send me would be much appreciated.
I use SSE Edit to "deep copy" a record, say a potion, into a new .esp. In my case, If it's in the Unofficial patch I copy that record vs. the original Master (say Dragonborn).
I then change the name part of the record to reflect my sorting preference. IE: "Blue Mountain Flower" to "Mountain Flower - Blue".
There is a character limitation, so sometimes I use a letter. IE: "M - mage boots" vs. "Mage -" or "W - Farmers Hat" vs. "Wardrobe - "
Using a "*" makes it sort to the top. "Using a "." will sort it just under the "*". Thje rest is generally alphabetical.
So I designed mine to sort the important stuff to the top, and make unique stand out.
You are welcome to use SSE Edit to open my .esp and make your own changes. Or just to play around and see what I mean by comparing the records. It's how I learned.

Update to be 100% in line with Unofficial Patch v 4.0.4
Scrolls are now like potions, with "scroll of" removed.
If possible, please include the name, form ID, and suggested ordering method. Popular suggestions will be included in upcoming updates.

I can't stand the other sorting mods, they use so much useless text.
Book Covers Skyrim patch updated. Added small patch for Lost Library (skillbooks).
I will begin using a version number for the BCS patch that corresponds to the BCS mod version. (IE: 4.1) with this release.
Releasing v.8 of the main file which cleans up most of the work to date, and incorporates a few changes in the latest USSEP.

I am finalizing the patch for BCS and will release that in the next 48 hours or so.
Edit: Finished 99% of the books. Version .7 is out. Book Covers Skyrim patch is out.
