MO2 Plugins like this contain custom code that adds new feature to your Mod Manager. Since you are new to MO2, I suggest you play around with it a bit and understand what the .mohidden files are. Then you can decide if you need this plugin.
I've used MO2 for over 2 years now and never seen a .mohidden file, nor know where to find them or what exactly they are. Can you provide a brief explanation of what exactly they are and where to find these files, and where they come from?
Sorry, I don't "play around" with MO2 as you said, I just use it to install mods, run the "precache grass" tool, and for stuff like LOOT, DynDOLOD and his buddies, VRAMr, Nemesis, and the other usual suspects.
I am not an expert on MO2, and English is not my first language, but I'll try to explain it briefly:
If there are conflicting mods, you can use the "hide" function of MO2 to hide specific files in the conflicting mods (In my experience, the best use of it is mostly texture or mesh files) and MO2 adds ".mohidden" extension in the end of that file, so instead of the file in the loaded after (winning conflict) mod, the file in the mod that previously lost the conflict is being used. For example:
I use both Assorted Mesh Fixes and Ember XD, and Ember XD has the priority in my load order over the Assorted Mesh Fixes. So all the meshes in the Assorted Mesh Fixes mod lose conflict to Embers XD meshes and don't show up ingame if they both affect the same mesh files. But I want to use one particular mesh file in the Assorted Mesh Fixes mod to show up. So I do this:
Let's say I want to use the "farmintlhfirepit03.nif" from AMF:
1- Go to the "Embers XD" mod on the left pane 2- Find the "Winning file conflicts" window under the "Conflicts" and then the "General" tab 3- Find that mesh file (farmintlhfirepit03.nif) 4- Right click, and select "hide" Now, the nif file in "Embers XD" became "farmintlhfirepit03.nif.mohidden", and you will see the nif file added by AMF ingame.
If you want to use that file again, simply find the file under the no conflict window, right click and unhide.
