Yes, we will have a Patch for JK. It's taking me a while because I'm involved with other work for Whiterun as well. Then I intend to do the patches together.
I just wrote idea how it could looks like, you can modify this idea of mine, of course, but more or less, I think it is so nice. I spent around 15 minutes writing this and my mind is very motivated right now.
Quest Title:Whispers of the Pillar
Quest Overview: Deep within the forest, a mysterious arcane pillar hums with forgotten power. Locals whisper that those who touch it may receive visions… or a curse. Uncover its purpose and unlock its secrets.
Sub-Quest 1:Touch of the Unknown
Objective:
Find the Arcane Pillar
Touch the Pillar
Survive the magical surge
Summary: When the player touches the Magic Pillar, a surge of energy knocks them down briefly. A vision follows: cryptic whispers, glimpses of an ancient mage, and a mark is burned into the player's hand. This begins the second part of the quest.
Effect of touching the Pillar (examples):
Temporarily increases Magicka or Stamina
Adds a unique passive ability (e.g. "Resonance of the Pillar": +10% spell cost reduction at night)
Alternatively, a random event (minor daedra spawn, illusion flash, or a summoned creature)
Sub-Quest 2:Echoes of Power
Objective
Investigate the visions (go to a nearby ruin or seek a specific NPC)
Defeat a guardian spirit or solve a puzzle
Return to the Pillar with an enchanted item or relic
Summary:
Following the vision, the player must uncover the Pillar’s origin. Clues lead to a ruined tower nearby, where a ghostly figure guards a fragment of the Pillar’s original enchantment. Returning this to the Pillar fully activates it.
Reward Ideas:
Permanent passive bonus (e.g. +25 Magicka or a unique spell)
A new summoning spell tied to the Pillar’s energy
Unlock a fast-travel teleport option to the Pillar
P.S. I have written this in a very nice style so that you—and other users—can read my idea much more easily.
Can you show me those SSEDIT records? Because as far as I remember there is no fire in that location originally. It is certainly a conflict with some other mod you use. I'm waiting for evidence of the possible problem.
Hi, nice to see such a mod! I have a question, though: you never mentioned in the mod description whether the Magic Pillar actually does something, or if it's just there to add a mystical atmosphere.
It would be great to create a small quest—perhaps consisting of two sub-quests—centered around the Pillar, and to give it a practical purpose.
For example, when the player touches it, something could happen that benefits the player. Of course, it's up to you to decide what that would be.
It reminds me a bit of the Skyshards mod, in a way.
