Hello! With the most recent version of the mod installed I'm getting a crash when I approach the area around the riften gate. Not the riften jail, like other people were experiencing, but the area immediately to the west of riften on the map. Approaching it from the outside crashes the game, and trying to access that area by leaving riften through one of the main gates freezes the game on the loading screen. Its definitely his mod that's causing it because I disabled and enabled every mod I had that affected the area around riften until I found that this one was the culprit. The crash only happens after I start the quest. If I go to the area prior to talking to Cynric it loads just fine.
Hi! I'm unable to replicate this. I've run around the area multiple times, went through all the load doors both ways and couldn't get it to crash. This was after coc'ing into the HQ from the start menu, then starting the quest and talking to Cynric. I have no edits in any exterior cells (except for a placed marker in the patch for JK's), and I don't introduce any custom assets. Have you tested with only this mod enabled? Did you update from a previous version? You can DM me a crash log if you'd like and I can see if anything jumps out at me.
Edit: I lied, I checked xEdit and I do have two placed markers in RiftenWorld "Riften" at 43,-24 and 43,-25. But that's not gonna cause a crash.
Might need a patch for Inigo, as when hes in that cell when you first meet him, you need to unlock the door with the cell key thats in one of the guard rooms, and having both Inigo and Jailbreaker installed gives two cell doors clipping into each other
My game crashes when I enter the riften jail and walk into the main room. The cell loads fine, then when I walk around the first corner it crashes to desktop. Without the mod it works. Since it works fine for others it is certainly my heavy mod list. I tried looking for conflicts in SSedit, but so far no luck. Any idea and what it could be?
Is this during the quest? After you get arrested? You mention walking around the corner into the main room but the front entrance where you meet the jailor should be inaccessible after starting the quest. It'd help to know how you got in. Either way I'm not sure that would cause a CTD, it would just prevent the quest from progressing as it's hooked to the story manager Jail Event.
Same here, can't proceed with quest after arrest. Hrm. I honestly have no idea how that would happen. I'll recheck, and make sure I exported correctly and uploaded the facegendata. It's possible I missed something. But I'm afraid it'll have to wait until closer to the middle of the month as I'm very busy atm.
Should be fixed. Regenerated and reuploaded so there is both a mesh and textures folder. I have not been able to replicate the crash after this. Please let me know if there are any further issues.
Finally got to Riften and I have issues starting the quest (I use the ESL version). Cynric does not have new dialogue topics (I am already past the main TG questline).
I have checked the mod in the CK and I have found a lot of quests, but none of them is start enabled. Which should start first and when? Should I be imprisoned (one of the quest is attached to the JailEvent)?
How is compatibility with JK's Thieves Guild HQ, JK's Ragged Flagon, and the Ratway Passages? I wouldn't be surprised if the Ratway Passages touched something related to this mod.
Should be compatible. I can check with JK's Thieves Guild, I added a marker in the training room which might need moved if JK's TG rearranges things there. I didn't edit anything that has to do with the Ragged Flagon or Ratway. I also checked in SSEEdit for potential conflict with anything.
As an afterthought, I would even suggest The Ratway Passages as it compliments this mod well. If I remember correctly there is a passage that connects directly to the vanilla Riften Jail escape.
always hated black briar , imagine a heist type quest where you steal from a vault underneath their house filled with gold coins , gold bars , jewels and other valuables

I've uploaded an ESPFE version of the mod. Let me know if everything works correctly, all voicefiles/facegendata/scripts etc. Thanks so much to those who helped make this an easy job converting to ESPFE!
I already tried compacting the formIDs in an effort to flag as ESL, and as a result it messed up the voice file names, so I reverted to a previous version of my plugin. I don't currently feel like fixing 200+ voice lines. Maybe at a later date.
Just a thought, you could see if ESLifier can do that for you - supposedly it has the ability to change voice files, script fragments, SPID text files, that kind of thing, so it may help if you want to try it.
I'm going to give this one a try, seems there's an issue with ESLifier currently It was my stupid virus protection blocking it. Thanks for an alternative suggestion!
