People often ask me how the performance of Lightwood Trees compares to vanilla trees. On its own, the FPS difference isn't huge—usually around 1–4 FPS on my old laptop. Where it really starts to shine is in forested areas or if you're using mods that add more trees. In those cases, the performance gain becomes more noticeable, especially on older systems. So if a mod adds extra trees to places like Falkreath, Lightwood Trees can help keep things running much smoother compared to vanilla trees.

What settings do you recommend for the trees in Dyndolod?

This is a must have lol. Now that you've made a performant tree, how about other landscapes too lmao

These are great! Thank you, endorsed. I think I'll use these even though I have performance to spare, I like the look of the pines a lot.

As a bit of feedback, I think the sparsity of the aspen branches makes their simple, conical trunk stand out a bit too much up close -- I'd say to make them a bit denser to hide this, but you did say in the description that the aspens use my own textures and not any you provide. I am noticing your own screenshots seem to make the aspens look a bit bushier, is there a texture set I should use to achieve this effect? I'm using Vanilla aspens and mine don't look as bushy as that... though it may just be the perspective, thinking about it.

Thank you for the kind words and feedback! Yes, I know that most aspen texture mods don't have proper mipmapping, which is why the trees often look bald. I recommend not using any texture replacers for aspens until I provide reasonably good-looking textures. With the vanilla textures, the trees don't look bald — they actually look quite bushy.

This is how it's looking with vanilla textures.

As a 1660 owner I'm afraid to install some mods on grass and trees without knowing how it will affect fps. I used to use SFO and was thinking about switching to Happy Little Trees, but I just saw your mod and I think I'll try it first.

    upd.
    I'm shocked o-o
This mod transformed the forest around Falkreath better than I imagined т-т
    But I have a questions

    1. is this mod compatible with Happy Little Trees? or do they both affect the valiant trees....I'm new to modding.

    2. Do you plan to change fallen dead trees and stumps? And logs with firewood at the lumbermill? and trees on Solstheim?

Thank you for such a great mod!
I'll be waiting for the mod with snow-covered pines!

    upd.2

and can i use your mod with SFO? or it's not compatible?
Sorry for so many questions x_x

Thank you so much for the kind words!
If you install SFO or HLT first, you'll need to install Lightwood Trees over the HLT or SFO in order to see Lightwood Trees in the game  if that's what you prefer.
As of now, I don’t have plans to change fallen trees, stumps, or similar objects, but that may change in the future.

Thank you very much for your reply! I will use your mod in combination with one of the mentioned ones and will follow your updates. The trees look gorgeous!
