I can see this having some great potential for fast travel gameplay, or just some immersive travel gameplay as alternative/synergy with other travel mods. If your in a plane of oblivion, or "another" if you read that Mythic Dawn stuff, that's a wonderful potential application of this. Also, maybe certain locations that just have that trapped or lost aspect to them from a narrative perspective, whether it be by quest or environmental storytelling (ex. Soul Cairn).
Again, what a wonderful and flexible mod to configure.
Sounds intriguing but I guess I'm trying to figure out whether this is something I would actually use, what types of worldspaces would you recommend to use this for?
none, its empty by default, because its a blacklist.
custom config in Optional has mainland Skyrim's (Tamriel) map menu blocked. if you need to add more worldspaces, BakaWorldMapFilterCustom.json (or BakaWorldMapFilter.json) should look like this:
nothing big, my dude. just some worldspace mods beside main worldspace worth mapping have a few small ones (Vicn loves doing that), they don't need non-local map at all, yet vanilla 3D map is available for them and that's not good for paper map consistency. setting parent map for them unfortunately leads to issues with markers, so I kindly asked shad0wshayd3 to solve it in this radical way with SKSE.
other modders could probably use it for muh immersion blacklisting map menu for worldspaces maps of which shouldn't be available for users.
