Hi, I am using windhelm exterior altered ans aletered altered and I install it with the patches you provided but you still see some stairs on the right edge of the bridge they are the only mods I have that alter the exterior of windhelm.
Edit: Sorry, I already realized that they don't have compatibility hehe could you make a patch to make them functional? Seems like it's only those stairs that would need to be removed pls :3
I'm not sure what's happening, but using this mod and no patches or other changes to Windhelm Bridge absolutely tanks my fps to 1-2 when I get near it.
Exterior-wise I'm using Blended Roads, Windhelm Objects SMIMed, and Better Dynamic Snow. I made sure to disable Windhelm Bridge Stairs. Oh, I did still have Windhelm Entrance Offset Fix active, and I can try disabling that.
Inside the city, I have some interior cell edits by Snazzy and JK, a few FYX mods, Mihail's Crows and Ravens but I didn't think that would conflict.
I don't think any in the last paragraph would effect it if they're JUST effecting the interior of Windhelm. Blended Roads will. BDS won't. Anything effecting the exterior will effect the mod. But nothing I can imagine that would make the performance tank. I mean, there are armors with more polys than this bridge. Textures, I think there are 4 custom textures and they're 2k. So nothing really there to worry about. The rest are utilizing windhelm textures. Some others have mentioned weird performance issues with mods that add locations, but since this is a vanilla location and just a mesh swap/navmesh fix, I don't see any issues. Also not getting any drops myself.
With everything that had Windhelm in the mod name but Blended Roads disabled, ENB turned off too, I still get a massive FPS dip (down to 1-2 fps and my 5080 fans were roaring) for a good 15-20 seconds. Framerate did eventually stabilize and was not as good as I normally see but playable. The only other thing that I think would be a culprit is eFPS needing a patch, though I wasn't seeing any weird pop in except at the Windhelm Gate.
eFPS would need a patch I think. I believe the page or the patch page says not compatible with mods that add new architecture meshes or something along those lines.
I disabled eFPS and my fps still tanks when I get near the bridge. No patches, no DynDOLOD, turned off ENB (no difference), etc. I don't think I have anything over there changing things except landscape textures and Blended Roads. The bride loads fine, I can look at it without issue, but as soon as I go up the stairs by the stables the fps goes to nil.
I almost skipped this mod because of the FPS drop posts, but I installed it anyway because it looks great.
I installed it with my other Windhelm outskirts mods and my FPS didn't change on the bridge / outskirts. I arrived by carriage, walked across the bridge, talked to the vendors, entered Windhelm, and then left Windhelm. I had a slight drop when I left Windhelm. (4 FPS drop)

I ended up fixing mine by loading it underneath JK's Windhelm Outskirts, as I don't think the patch for it here covers everything from my brief look in xedit
having this issue too, with no other significant overhauls to the windhelm exterior. interestingly, it only seems to kick in after crossing certain portions of the bridge. it also isn't a VRAM issue - checking my VRAM consumption in the community shaders UI shows it well under the max threshold. absolutely no idea what's causing it.
a bandaid fix is using wskeever's LOD unloading bug fix to reload the area - it works just fine after doing that.
Thanks for the solution, Tenguyama. Crashlogger kept telling me it was an hdtsmp issue so I was working that angle for the past 4 hours until I saw your solution. Back up to steady 60fps. No idea how or why this is going on.
Hi, I absolutely adore this mod! I switched over from Windhelm Bridge Overhaul/Windhelm Bridge Revived because they were a compatibility nightmare, and WBO had landscape tears and deleted navmeshes. I have no clue on how to fix them lol

When combining mods that add or alter locations, load order is super important. My general guidelines are:
Trees/Grass/Flora/Grass Patches
Trees
Grass
Flora
Grass Patches
New Locations
Mod
Mod
Mod
City Overhauls
Mod
Mod

Mod
Mod
Mod
A new location in my opinion is a mod that places something outside that wasn't there in the original game. Like my mods Aonghus' House, Granite Hill, and Markarth Side. Even if it's just a new hunters tent, etc.
City Overhaul mods would be like Cities of the North and JK's mods. Mods that add to, edit, develop, or overall change a city or town. Even if it's a new location.
Do NOT put grass patches, trees/grass/flora mods below new locations or city overhauls or you could have landscape holes or tears. Especially grass mods and grass patches. Inside cities this does not apply as there is no landscape mesh.So if you got a mod that overhauls the big tree in Whiterun or adds trees to Windhelm, you'd simply place those mods below any city mods you have for Whiterun or Windhelm.
Doing it this way will solve A LOT of issues. Now, if you still have issues, say with the mods you mentioned (WBO & WBR), you only need to go into the "City Overhauls" section of your load order and swap their positions to see if that solves your problem.
In Mod Organizer 2, I do this in both the mod window and the esp window on the right. I have both sides in the same order.
That's usually been from a load order issue. Are you using other mods in the area, like JK's Windhelm Outskirts or Capital Windhelm Expasion or Lux Orbis?
If you have high poly heads, this will need a patch for that. I know someone is making one right now. I'll check with them to see if it's done. I noticed when I used Windhelm Expanded, even without this mod, I'd get stuttering of like 1-5fps.
Not centered with the entrance. Possibly incompatible with entrance fixes. The argonian merchant should probably be given a line that was actually recorded with the voice type. Otherwise she has no dialogue when you ask what's on the menu.
Well more so the entrance itself. Doesn't seem compatible with wSkeever's entrance fix since that doesn't center it with this bridge. Plus the door gets pushed to the left for some reason.
Not sure. This mod doesn't touch the door. I used the 'search & replace' feature in ck to place the bridge meaning it keeps all the OG bridges placement and rotation data. Other than that, all the work was done on the front of the bridge. This mod doesn't even have a record for the front door. Possibly a patch will be needed to be made. I think that's what you're trying to say?
I mean essentially. That's the only thing I can think is causing it since with the entrance fix the off center-ness is different from the images. Since the entrance fix is made for the vanilla bridge & all.
This bridge looks superb and it fits the viking motiff, however i'm experiencing some landscape pop-ins when i go towards the entrance gate of Windhelm. Tried putting the mod all the way on the bottom but the issue is still there. Do i need some patch for this type of thing? P.S.: I have eFPS installed and Orbis.
EDIT: Ok, i found the culprit. It is indeed eFPS. Since i don't really benefit from it, i get constant 60fps everywhere with my modlist i am very happy to remove it. Cheers!

Not sure what is causing this weird seem on one side of the steps up to the bridge. Nothing seems to be overriding this mod.
they are the only mods I have that alter the exterior of windhelm.

I had the same issue. Disabling, re-enabling, and reloading the save seems to have fixed it oddly enough.Nevermind, problem resurfaced.P.S.: I have eFPS installed and Orbis.
