I've made things according to the guide on this page, (took 20 of "Pretty female animations''), and nothing happens. Character is idling in standart vanilla pose. If I try to play any pose at "Play
Random Idle Config" char stucks in T-pose.

    Whats wrong?

I'm having the same issue. Followed the installation instructions to the letter, T-posing when entering idles.

AS of Current SE build 2.0.17 (runtime 1.5.97)
I downloaded the mod manually along with the other animation mod I wanted.
    I pasted everything in "playRandomIdle\Meshes\actors\character\animations\PlayRandomIdle"
I rename everything according to the PRI001 to PRI020 Rules (double checking for typos that would cause Tpose
    7zip and slide into vortex
    deployed
Launch FNIS, did not check HKX Skyrim to SSE compat - Run
ran a plugin sorting because randomidle was ?? by default
    skse, continue
waited couple sec, idle works. all of them,
    tweaked using shout

    hope this helps

      Thank you for posting this.

That Vortex didn't automatically sort on deployment was tripping me up. Using the sort command cleared the ?? and allowed the mod to work. I get a brief t-pose as idles activate, but it seems to be working now.

Installed today. Had a conversation with someone. Mid conversation it popped into 3rd person view and my character froze.Couldn't move after that.

It works a few seconds and remains static after the first animation. I use the last Fnish.

Found a solution there works for me - dont know why it do but im happy.
I like Sexy idle Animation: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3197
so first i install that. it have 5 animation and you find the files at :\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\meshes\actors\character\animations\PlayRandomIdle. i copy them 4 times named pri001.hkx to pri020.hkx and save them in a folder just for this purpose. when you have the files just uninstall that mod.
Next i install Pretty Female Idle Loop 8-9 SE https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24105
BEFORE you hit enable you find its folder for .hkx files at \Vortex Mods\skyrimse\Pretty Female Idle Loop 8-9 SE-24105-1-1-1554146536\Meshes\actors\character\animations\PlayRandomIdle - there is 20 hkx files named - can you guess…….. pri001 - pri020.hkx
To there you copy/overwrite the files from before and go back to vortex and enable.

Last you install Play Random Idle to run after Pretty Female Idle Loop 8-9 SE.
Remember to run FNIS - open the game and try to test it in config (for them there dont know you find config under shouts).
Dont know what happen but it works for me

Guess you can use other idle animation (20 total) but have not tryed

If you're stuck in a t pose, don't forget to run FNIS.

Also make sure all of your animation files are converted for SSE.

I'm having the same problem, honestly, but running FNIS isn't the problem.

Just doesn't work for me for whatever reason. Character doesn't cycle through any idles, though I can see the animations/play them through the config.

Maybe something broke it between skyrim's updates, or maybe you have too many mods. I'm also having a weird t-pose bug and uninstalled this to see if it fixes itself
