The files are there. You need to download manually, unpack with 7zip, right-click the extracted folder and choose Send to compressed (zipped) folder from the context menu and then you can import that newly zipped file into NMM using the green plus sign top left of the NMM interface...
The file will show in the Unassigned category but you can add it where ever you want by right-clicking (sometimes twice) the file in NMM and choosing Move To from the pop-up menu and then choose the new category where you'd like to add the file...
Getting a Mod can't be added error from NMM when downloading through the NMM link. Manual download works, but manually adding the mod through NMM gives the same error. Extracting the files with WinRAR gives a No Archives Found error.
Unpacking with 7zip works.
But you'll need to repack the files with 7zip and re-upload them for NMM to recognise the files and download them.
