You're welcome! Oh, hmm, I'm not sure. I don't use Gourmet myself, so I just made sure that the recipe records matched the format of those found in Gourmet and its patches. I assumed that given the correct keywords and conditions you would find them like all other Gourmet recipes.
The actual purchasable recipe items do not appear and so the new foods cannot be prepared at a cooking pot. Also, the foods themselves do not seem to be sold by innkeepers or food merchants. I think that patch may need to come from the author of Gourmet. I appreciate all your work on this great mod, and I am enjoying encountering the new items randomly as loot.
I will follow up with the Gourmet mod author on the recipes. Thank you again!
Absolutely love the mod. I selected the survival patch in the FOMOD, but the food still does not have restore hunger values. I pulled it up on sseedit and it doesn't show hunger values either. Am I missing something?
I'm glad you like it! To keep everything as compatible as possible I tried to do as many things as I could through Skypatcher ini files. The Survival Mode patch is one of the patches I was able to do entirely through Skypatcher. So you are correct, you would not see that reflected in the mod itself, but in the Skypatcher ini file. Do you have Skypatcher installed?
Yep! I have Skypatcher installed. Found the ini and it does have the hunger modifications listed there.
I'll try again to see if I missed the hunger effect changing on the stamina bar. The item inventory descriptions in game don't mention hunger, but maybe it is still working?
I'll try again lol
Update: Skypatcher needed an update so that might have been it
Hi, I'm not the person you were replying to, but I have an up-to-date install of Skypatcher and I haven't seen hunger values show up in the item descriptions and the items don't restore hunger either. I just ate an oatmeal (with snowberries), and 3 sacks of various items from this mod and my hunger state didn't budge from "Peckish". I am using Survival Mode Improved for my survival mod. I have other Skypatcher-based mods installed that work so I know Skypatcher itself is working too.
Thanks for the excellent mod as well. I saw that it supported EAS and grabbed it immediately.
Hi, well darn. Not sure why that's happening. I'll take a look now. Thank you for letting me know!
You're welcome! I use EAS myself, so I knew I had to make the patches. A bit of a pain but worth it.
EDIT: I double checked the ini file and it should be distributing the magic effects correctly. I'm not sure how much you normally have to eat to change the hunger rating when using survival mode, but the intention is for the sacks of ingredients and the sour cream to restore a very small amount of hunger, vassgraut will restore a medium amount of hunger, and all other food items will restore a large amount of hunger.
Hi again, I modified the plugin in xEdit in an attempt to directly add the hunger restoration magic effect to the ingestibles and was hit by the "cannot be mapped to file fileid" error. I had to add Update.esm and the SurvivalMode.esl as masters to the plugin before it would allow me to add the hunger effects. I followed the Skypatcher file and added the intended hunger restoration value to each item.
I'm ingame now and I can see the hunger restoration values. I ate one of the Oatmeal items while I was at "Peckish" level hunger and was able to improve to "Fed". I know nothing about Skypatcher so I am not sure if this information helps you at all, but at least I was able to add the hunger restoration effects by editing the plugin directly.
Hmmmmmm that gives me an idea. Let me try something.
EDIT: I updated the Survival Mode patch ini. I'm wondering if I needed to reference the Update.esm instead of the ccQDRSSE001-SurvivalMode.esl itself. Perhaps the magic effects were injected into the Update.esm. That's my theory right now anyway. Let me know if it still isn't working. Darn thing. Thank you for being patient and for your help! I don't use Survival Mode so I appreciate it.
I'd be happy to help with ideas and recipe balancing. I can't code but I'm great as an idea guy and editor! also would it be possible to make a patch for spid that distributes the stuff into the vendors? skypatcher just crashes my game for some reason.
Have you updated Skypatcher to the lastest version? There was a version or two awhile back that also crashed my game, but I haven't had that issue with the lastest few versions.
Seconded - really love the new food but want to be able to cook it and still keep my other favorite food mod. Is there a way anyone knows to add additional recipes to Gourmet?
@Cizzy414 Thanks for your quick support my friend, but I still have another request if you don't mind: Could you plz make an optional SPID based file that distribute your yummy new foods to the inventory of humanoid NPC beside innkeeper(like bandit for example ?) ?
EDIT: The main level list ini already does this! I just double checked, because that was my original intention is to fully integrate these items into Skyrim. :) I might update the description page to be more clear. Although it is technically correct, it is not a completely accurate depiction of the level list ini that I wrote. So to clarify, the level lists that I added the food items to, specifically LItemFoodInnCommon10 [LVLI:0010E0E1] and LItemFoodInnCommon [LVLI:00098E5F], are referenced in other level lists. For example, LItemFoodInnCommon10 [LVLI:0010E0E1] is a part of LootSilverHandRandom, LootBanditRandom, and a whole list of other level lists. As a result, there is a chance that the new food items will be found on NPCs and not just at inns.
Hopefully that makes sense. But long story short, the main mod already accomplishes your request. :) I just wanted to double check that I integrated everything as I intended and if not, edited the original level list ini or make the SPID ini you requested.
Looks great, looking forward to using it ^_^ Presumably if I wanted the Sack of Oats item to be more plentiful in vendors, I would just edit the ini? I imagine changing one of the 1s next to the FE004801 items in the lists? If you point me in the right direction I can handle it myself :3
Yes, that's correct! So for example, you can change Medieval Norwegian Food Additions.esp|FE004801~1~1 to Medieval Norwegian Food Additions.esp|FE004801~1~2, which changes the count added to the level list from 1 to 2. This edit won't change the chance of oats appearing at vendors, but it will increase the quantity of oats the vendor has when they do have them. Hopefully that makes sense. Additionally, you should be finding ingredients when you search in barrels and the like.
I personally use Producers of Skyrim, which makes all of the farms additional vendors of food items, and those vendors have a high chance of having the sacks of ingredients and the sour cream just based on how that mod estblishes the farms level lists.
Let me know if that is confusing, or if I can help in any way. :)
Sounds perfect, thank you :) I was finding them just fine at the farmers-turned-merchants via the CACO Farm Overhaul, but I like to buy bigger amounts and do a batch of cooking at once, so this will be exactly what I need. ^^
Aw good, I'm glad! You're welcome! <3 The patches were a bit of a pain, but ultimately if I was going to make this mod, I really wanted to make it right, and it just wouldn't be without the patches. I'm glad they are appreciated :)

Sure, I can put something like that together.EDIT: The main level list ini already does this!
