I know this probably isnt the old brawl bug but whenever I brawl, even with this bug fix, my punches are just considered normal attacks, like the ai of the character doesnt register that we're in a brawl at all. I can post my modlist if that would help but Im really not hoping to disable 205 mods one by one.
Nope. Doesn't work. Unless being a vampire is automatically brawl breaking....I can't ever remember a time where brawl has ever worked. I guess I'll just have to avoid all quests that require brawling. I can't even get brawls to start. The Npcs are like "alright lets go!" and then they just stare at me and take my money and nothing happens.
The issues you are describing are indicative of problems that go beyond the historic brawl bug. And when I say historic, I mean that quite literally. This is an age old bug, and this mod is an age old solution. It works, I assure you. Back to the drawing board, bud.
I'm getting the same thing. But I'm not a vampire. I'm an orc who started in an orc stronghold with the alternative life mod, and tried brawling Chief Burguk. He takes my gold, and then sits there doing nothing. I took a carriage to Riften and tried brawling Hofgrir, and it worked fine. Maybe it has to do with factions somehow? It would be nice if someone could figure out a way to fix this bug too.
I had this with Uthgerd and Mikael in Whiterun. The only thing that made it possible for me to brawl with them was dismissing Sofia. I have no clue how to fix the issue.
I started playing SSE on my new PC about a month ago and always wondering why brawling didn't work. I played Skyrim on console for almost a decade and never had the brawl bug.
This very elaborate and detailed problem description makes it very easy to tell what is wrong. Anyway: 1/ you are not having the brawl bug but another bug 2/ you have another mod loaded after this that breaks brawls again.
I have 17 messages in LOOT saying that this mod is included (to those 17 mods). So, do I need to install this too LAST and overwrite the others or doesn't matter?
If they're actually the same mod then you don't need this. But there's an outdated brawl fix going around that's included in some mods and doesn't actually work well. If so, put this after them.
