I just want to check, is this mod still required with the newest 2.72D version update of SFO? The reason I ask is I don't want to download a fix/patch if it's obsolete or no longer needed. x)

The mod does not auto merge with the bashed patch. What tags does it need to be correctly recognized as mergable?

It has worldspace edits so I don't believe bash will merge it. I could be wrong though.

When the description said 'easily added to your merged patch' , I assumed it meant the bashed, not an actual merge. Regardless, this is very useful and I made room for it in my load order..

Ah no, sorry, I meant a merged patch done either by hand (how I do things :P ) or mator smash. Apologies for the confusion :) You could also drag these changes directly into the Holidays file if you wish with SSEdit, you'd just have to redo that every time Holidays updates.

Oh, nice. Any chance for a fix for 3d trees?

No, sorry, I don't use that mod. If you or anyone else wants to do it yourself, though:

      1. Open Holidays in SSEdit.
      2. Click the + sign by it to expand it
      3. Click on header. At the top you'll see a line called "record flags." Right click it and tick the "ESM" box.
      4. Save and exit.
      5. Open both Holidays and SFO in the Creation Kit, but don't set an active file.
      6. In the Cell View pane, you'll see a dropdown at the top. Choose "SolitudeWorld" and then doubleclick on one of the cells in there.
      7. When it's loaded you should be able to see Solitude's interior. Navigate to the tree, move lanterns.
      8. Save when you're done, name it whatever you like.
      9. Open Holidays up in SSEdit again and untick the ESM box, then save.

Depending on how much 3D Trees changes all models, you may also need to look at the trees in Riften (aspens) and Whiterun (Gildergreen).

Or...to avoid place another esp file... simply disabling FEW lanterns here and there.

They were placed for much shorter trees though so if you just do that they're all clustered at the bottom and it's bare on top, like Christmas trees when the small kids get to decorate :P lol As I said in the description, this is easily folded into a merged patch, which is what I did with it for my game. :) I wouldn't waste an .esp slot on it either, lol.

you know, i actually got so irritated by those damn floating solitude lanterns, i uninstalled holidays. now i'll give it a go again. if your total d/ls doesn't skyrocket overnight, i'll be surprised.

update: so i playtested for a little bit. could be that dawn of skyrim maybe eliminates a tree in the market square, but i had a floating pumpkin above the bakery stand during tales and tallows. i know you only mention the one tree in your description though. are you looking to expand the mod to cover more solitude floaters and maybe make a dos patch?

Lol, I don't know about that, but I figured I couldn't be the only person unreasonably bothered by this. Glad there's at least two of us ;)

I don't use DoS, I just use my own ported version of JK's lite, so probably not. =/ DoS does definitely move/remove some stuff -- I liked it, but incompatibility with Holidays is one of the reasons I opted out ultimately :)
