Hi, my Inigo is able to have his banter with another vanilla follower like Kharjo and he’s able to converse with NPCS like Nazeem, but Lydia seems to have no luck… Inigo would be able to say all his lines only for Lydia to reply back with silence and honestly this is comedic when Inigo first have his conversation with Lydia, who defining isn’t fond of her and takes her as a fool LMAO!
Sure, maybe Improved Follower Dialogue for Lydia is a problem but even my Kaidan is able to converse with Serana while I also have her Serana Dialogue Add-On. Any solutions?
Lydia's responses to Inigo are repurposed vanilla lines, or things spliced from her vanilla lines. If another mod replaces, or removes, those vanilla lines, then when the Inigo mod calls for the line, it won't be there. So yeah, Improved Follower Dialogue for Lydia is almost sure to be the problem. It won't break Inigo or anything, but the interactions with Lydia are just going to continue to be messed up. We can't fix that from here, short of returning Lydia to her vanilla state. As for Serana Dialogue Add-On, most interactions geared to work with her are geared to work specifically with the add-on, not with the vanilla lines. You can just pretend Inigo is having skooma flashbacks, and is imagining Lydia's part of the conversations, and the actual Lydia is remaining stonily silent, weirded out by this.
Yeahhh, I don't mind leaving Lydia with IFD on since not only that expands her character, she's intelligent compared to what she is whenever she's with Inigo, and that funny blue cat can continue being in his own little fantasy, believing that Lydia is a dummy lmao. It'd be awesome if the mod author were to converse with IFD Lydia but I'm fully aware he's busy with his own life, but it's nice to think about.
Yeah, we really can't take into account every mod out there. As the interactions with Lydia progress, she does grow on Inigo and his opinion on her shifts. None of those interactions are critical for Inigo though, so you are safe to ignore the strangeness.
