Right off the bat, you might not need to install this mod. Read the section below to find out!

The Problem

Some players have reported an issue where non-LotD player homes don't correctly trigger the Ease Burden passive as expected. The best way to confirm whether or not you need this mod is to check that Ease Burden is turned on in the LotD MCM, and visit Breezehome. One of three things will happen:

  • You get a message stating "Ease Burden Added", Ease Burden is added to your Active Effects, and your carry weight capacity will go up by 100,000.
  • You get a message stating "Ease Burden Added", but Ease Burden is not added to your Active Effects, and your carry weight does not increase.
  • You do not get a message stating "Ease Burden Added", Ease Burden is not added to your Active Effects, and your carry weight does not increase.

If you're getting #1, you don't need this mod. If you're getting #2 or #3, give this mod a shot, as this fix worked for me.

The Fix

I do not pretend to understand why, but the Condition "Subject.GetKeywordDataForCurrentLocation(LocTypePlayerHouse)" which DBM_EaseBurden uses to flag non-LotD player homes isn't doing its thing for some players. However, manually adding the player homes in question causes it to trigger correctly. As such, I've done just that-- I've added all vanilla player homes (Vlindrel Hall, Breezehome, Proudspire Manor, Hjerim, Honeyside, the Archmage Quarters, Lakeview Manor, Windstad Manor, Heljarchen Hall, and Severin Manor) and the Anniversary Edition homes (Tundra Homestead, Dead Man's Dread, Bloodchill Manor, Nchuanthumz, Myrwatch, Shadowfoot Sanctum, Goldenhills Plantation, Gallows Hall, and Hendraheim) to the conditions list.
