Well, it SHOULD indeed be inaccessible until you become a full member of the TG or leave through the shortcut from the inside of the RF... Isn't it? That'd be a bug!
Looks terrific. Terrifically useful! Can we assume that the Open Cities version is also patched for USSEP? Or is it one or the other? Hope not - but the Files page is unclear on this.
hmmm I think it's one or the other... I'm not familiar with it, but I thought the USSEP does conflict with OCS so anyone would have only one of them... If that's not the case, I'll just "include" the USSEP patch in the OCS patch, yeah...
I just double-checked both mods' pages and re-read the docs and Stickies.
Since both of them are fairly significant and popular mods (to say the least!), I am certain one of them would have mentioned any incompatibility somewhere in all their documentation; under "Incompatibilities" for starters!
Finally, and most importantly, I've never had a problem with them together. In short, your willingness to combine your patch versions is greatly appreciated - and useful! Truth.
NOTE: I must admit that all that doesn't mean that there isn't in fact some conflict of which I am unaware and have managed to bypass in previous games - but meantime they have been pleasantly trouble-free together for me, the past couple of years. Thanx again!
Sooo... Had to restructure the files a bit... I simply didn't expect to have that many patches eventually, so I'll now have to switch to the old master-patch-solution, I'm sorry... So feel free to give it a try! (Tell me if it's working fine haha)
Excellent! I will be beginning my newest playthrough this weekend - with my largest ever load order. So I will be keeping a close eye on everything. Looking forward to trying this out - will come back and report once I get there, and actually use the shortcut. Thanx again muchly!!
BTW, I saw a comment below about putting a key. Just to throw my 2 cents in, I think anyone who walks into a thieves' den uninvited won't be leaving under their own power regardless (it's all only theory anyway as only thief NPC's have navmeshes to walk in and out of there, to the best of my knowledge - and probably not for your shortcut anyway, I'm guessing.) Maybe just mark it with a Shadowmark, so only thieves can identify it... Just a thought. Personally I have no complaints or issues either way - I just appreciate the convenience!
EDIT: Oops. Just saw the pic at the top of this page that says that it is already marked...
The third pic with the red arrow and a caption that says, "You will find the secret entrance at the canal below the market - it has the same symbol as the Thieves' Guild Main Entrance." That's all I meant by marked entrance.
This looks nice! Much cleaner and more sensible implementation than other shortcut mods I've tried. However, one oversight I noticed: shouldn't the door and porthole be locked? I don't think the Thieves Guild would let just anyone waltz into their base lol. You could put the key in the Cistern, so that players can access the shortcut once they become full members of the Guild.
Well, last thing I heard is that anything concerning new cell records can't be flagged as an ESL and if you look at the comment below, someone tried to do it and it seemed not to work, so.... But ofc, you could try it or (what I'd recommend) merge the esp with that of OTG... I can't do that for I won't reupload it, but I don't think it would be hard, for my patch has been realized simply through deleting all interfering records, so that a merge should be very easy (well, it should).
But I don't really understand that ESL thing yet, I'm sorry... It seems to be somewhat complicated and I've nowhere found a good and clear explanation of it yet.
I dunno exactly what this means, but i checked this in wyre bash to see if i could esl flag it, and this came up and ive never saw this message before, and since it contained the word 'bad' i figured id ask you if it might mean some sort of problem with the file. heres the warning .Ragged_Flagon_Shortcut.esp: Bad header type:'PMIS', i understand that its esl incapable ,just trying make sure theres nothing else wrong before i try and use it.
I don't know "wyre bash", but xEdit doesn't find anything problematic (and I've gone through all the records to check them). What file did you check? OCS or vanilla?
Hey btw are you still interested in an Open Cities compatible version of the mod? I don't think you'd be the only one then and I could just create one... Shouldn't be that much. Please let me know if you still have interest. Greetings, Neldor258
Edit: Anyway, I made you one... Feel free to check it out! ;D

Did you test it?
No, I mean't I need one that's locked :D

But I have some other stuff to do first...
Or what do you mean with OCS/better docs? Do you mean there would be yet another patch needed? XD
Only I have this problem?
EDIT: done! I hope it's working now... Feel free to let me know!
edit: it appears a patch would be required.
I'll do a patch then. :)
(If you're interested at least...)

Why isn't (at least the other mod) compatible? What's the problem?
