Dear Nexus User, I would like to draw your attention to your actions regarding the uploading of mods created by other authors. Your actions violate several key rules of Nexus Mods and disregard the example of proper conduct when a mod conversion is done with respect to the original author. Violations of Nexus Mods Rules:
Use and Accreditation:
You are uploading content created by another author without crediting them or obtaining their permission. This directly violates the rule: "Uploading existing user-created content without obtaining permission from the original author(s) of said content is strictly prohibited."
You claim that there were no replacements for the Red Eagle's swords, even though the original author had already created a similar mod as part of their Unique Uniques project. This misleads users and violates the rule: "File descriptions must be clear and informative regarding the nature of the file. Completely misleading or incoherent descriptions are prohibited."
Unacceptable Content:
You are copying text from the original author's page, which constitutes plagiarism. This violates the rule: "Do not pass off someone else's content as your own. This includes copying descriptions, images, or other materials."
Related Content and Categorization:
You are uploading individual weapon models one by one, while the original author provided them as a complete package. This disrupts the author's intent and misleads users, which contradicts the rule: "Files must be properly categorized and described."
Example of Proper Conduct:For comparison, here is an example of how a mod conversion should be done with respect to the original author. The Unique Uniques mod was ported to Skyrim Special Edition with full credit and a link to the original mod:
"A conversion of InsanitySorrow's Unique Uniques, updated for Skyrim Special Edition. All credit for this mod belongs to InsanitySorrow. Please endorse his original mod page if you enjoy his work!"
You mislead users by claiming that there were no replacements, even though they were created by another author.
You upload content piece by piece, disrupting the author's intent.
Nexus Mods Rules You Are Violating:
Rule 7: "You must respect the copyright of other users. Do not upload content that does not belong to you without explicit permission."
Rule 9: "Do not pass off someone else's content as your own. This includes copying descriptions, images, or other materials."
Rule on Related Content: "File descriptions must be clear and informative regarding the nature of the file. Completely misleading or incoherent descriptions are prohibited."
Recommendations:Please stop violating the platform's rules and respect the work of authors. Remove the content that does not belong to you or credit the original author if you have their permission to distribute it. Otherwise, I will be forced to report your actions using the "Report Abuse" function.
ok, thanks for all the informations, some thins i ignored before, but, the mod exist in LE standalone version,in the original page mod shows that i can convert this to other games, i always make credits to the author, i dont know if in the page dont show it, (but i did it), now i disable the rewards for the complaints, and now i decide not port more mods, Because there will always be dissatisfied people, and I'm tired.
Thank you for your response. I understand that porting mods is a labor-intensive process, and your efforts are important for the community. However, I would like to offer a few suggestions to help avoid misunderstandings in the future. Attribution: Make sure the original author is clearly and prominently credited on the mod page. For example, add at the beginning of the description: "This is a port of the mod [mod name] by [author's name]. All credit goes to the original author. Please support them by endorsing the original mod page: [link]." Clear Formatting: Clearly state that this is a port and not an original work. This is important for transparency. If the author allows porting, include this information. If permission has not been granted, it’s better to clarify with the author or refrain from uploading. Compliance with Nexus Mods Rules: Nexus Mods requires respect for original authors. Ensure that your port complies with their guidelines. Don’t give up on porting! Porting from LE to SE is important work that helps the community preserve older mods for newer versions of the game. Many players appreciate such ports. The key is to do it correctly:
Credit the author and provide a link to their work.
Clearly state that this is a port.
If the author allows porting, mention this in the description.
Your efforts are valuable—just make sure everything is properly documented. If you need help, feel free to reach out. Good luck with your projects!
I don't know man, but I don't know why people are requesting this when it already existed in Unique Uniques, along with other mods like Requiem and such. And the "these don't come with a unique visual appearance, well until now that is". I mean it's just straight up someone else's work. Its even the exact same Editor IDs. It looks like you just deleted all non-Red Eagle records from UU and uploaded that as is.
It also does less than Unique Uniques in that regard anyway in that it doesn't change the appearance of the models in the activator records.
Yeah I don't really get the appeal of parting out someone else's extremely successful mod as their own and not even changing anything at all. Just uploading as is and even TURNING ON DOWNLOAD POINTS like they did in this mod which is even crazier. If they were just separating them for archival sake then fine but I'm against this completely.
