    Hello. I am really enjoying the mod. I noticed the vampire lord form gets its weakness to sunlight effect at the default sacrosanct times of 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. it seems. This does not happen in my regular dark elf vampire form. Daywalker also seems to affect vamp lord partially because while I am weakened by the sun losing 100 points of my max health magicka and stamina, I take no actual health damage from sunlight. I tried to troubleshoot by disabling any of my other vampire lord mods and same thing. Is this intended? I am running the highest sun damage level option, The blood and snow patch, and Sated Daywalker.

      I checked this out on a functionally unmodded profile of skyrim and the only thing that seems to be an issue with my mod was the weird time based vampire lord sun weakness (magicka, health, stamina) Assuming you're not sated (which you seem to not be considering the 100 lost points of stats) and standing in a light source during daytime(the adjusted hours) you should be taking damage as a vampire lord, I will look into fixing the other bug eventually but I've got a lot going on in my life and I deem it to be kind of a niche issue

      If you want to look further into this yourself you could check my mod in xEdit and see if there's anything overriding it

    Hey, I love your work, it's absolutely awesome! Do you personally prefer the mod to affect NPCs or only the player? I wonder because I agree with your design choices for this mod and I hesitate to choose.

      My mod doesn't really touch how the sun affects NPC vampires (even the damage numbers for NPCs are unchanged) but I find it to be a cool added detail for NPC vampires to burn in the sun, JaySerpa implemented it in a rather intuitive way so hostile vampires only start burning in combat (meaning they wont just be found dead lying around). I however always chose the option for friendly NPC vampires to be immune since there's no way for them to figure that they need to hide in shadows and having to herd Serana around so she stands in shadows (or any other vampire follower) is probably not that fun 😅

    Why was the dragon at midnight edit removed from the fomod as well as the .esp file in latest version?

    it was cool to have the sun do 20 dps instead of insta killing you.
    Was it a mistake? it is mentioned in the main page that dragon at midnight is supposed to be edited.

      The effect remains but the plugin is gone, it was merged into the other plugins, its mentioned in the changelogs

    Hi, thank you so much for your work! I tried something similar a while back with an Oldrim mod that would allow to change the time when daylight damage kicks in via MCM but unfortunately failed at correctly editing all the conditions...

    I have a question, though, because I saw in xEdit that there are lots of unresolved errors that are also present in the recommended Balancing patch (I hadn't used that one before). Do you know what may be causing this and maybe how to fix it? It's always the same FormID being referenced but I don't know what magic effect that should be. This is from the "Tyranny - Sun Damage Sated.esp". Below is the xEdit output after checking for errors:

      I checked both relevant mods and no such errors appeared for me, I'm afraid I'm not experienced enough modding to be able to diagnose why something like this could occur for one person but not for another, I'll be updating the mod soon enough and it'll have some changes to how things are handled technically, maybe that'll magically fix the errors for you lol

      hm ok, but thanks for checking! Hopefully, the update just fixes it somehow but as the errors also exist in the "rebalanced and tweaked" mod, I'm afraid it won't help in this case...
      Could you maybe tell me what is being referenced in these conditions? It's the same thing in all 4 "weakness to sunlight" spells so I can probably fix it if I know what should be in there.

      Btw Sacrosanct isn't visible here because of a modgroup, but it also doesn't have that condition. It's the latest version 6.0, though.

      The effect you're missing is Mytherceria from Sacrosanct, really curious how that happened, maybe try re-installing the mod?

      Ohh boi, I am so blind. I just realized my Sacrosanct plugin was being overwritten by an older version of Vampire Lord Overhaul which tried to remove the vampire lord's armor but I'm not sure if that even worked. The problem was that it was still an older version of Sacrosanct without the new Mytherceria magic effect which caused those unresolved errors... Now it's finally working!

      It's been merged into the other plugins, it was kind of redundant and made adding patches a bit of a pain, you should be safe to just continue your playthrough without it

      Also I just noticed that if you're using the Covered Head Sun Immunity version you have to scroll down in the fomod to see that you don't need any other plugin for it to work, incase you missed it

    Thank you! I always use Sacrosanct, my favorite!! I love sun affect npc too for immersion. Happy both can work together better. Endorsed!

    I didn't make any patches for the Hooded option in Sun Affects NPC Vampires as I felt it went against the philosophy of the mod and I don't use it personally anyway, if anybody really wants this you could let me know and I might make a patch for it.

    I chose the hooded option in sun affect npc vampires.
    I really want the hooded option if you can add a patch. I know it is kinda silly since it is only a hood and the body is not covered completely but still useful in dangerous situation. I hide also in shadows. It can make sense too for roleplay by wearing full cover clothes.

      P.S sorry for editing my post lol I noticed that the cover your head mod I was using is now obsolete since sun affect npc vampires already come with the hood cover in the mod. Stupid of me for not noticing. lol

      So I only use the hood cover from sun affect npc vampires. A patch would really be awesome. :) Thanks!

      I was in the middle of creating a patch for this, but as I was setting up the conditions, I realized it was nonsensical and completely contradicted the philosophy behind the patch, just as Elisaron pointed out. So, I decided to scrap it and remove the hooded version from my modlist.😅
      It would make more sense to create a patch that reduces sun damage when wearing headgear (though I imagine that would be pretty complicated, possibly involving new passive spells), but completely eliminating it doesn’t quite work.

      Plus: 🌞 Daywalker Perk Reworked: Now Daywalker can actually block the sun damage from Sun Affects NPC Vampires and optionally will only work while Sated.
      It is even better tbh.
      And the daylight hours is better too. I know vampires can feel the sun before the sunlight appear but they should not be hurt when there are no sunlights yet lol
      Gonna download it and test it.

      Okay, i just tested and wow!! This is even better!! The screen became fuzzy at around 7am when the sun started to show up(without tyranny of the sun, it start to hurt around 5-6am) and i started to lose health rapidly over time on the sun. A fire user ambushed me too lol I was screwed and actually was fun. xD
      This make being a vampire so much more immersive.  Sacrosanct + Sun affect npc + Tyranny of the sun make the sun really hurt which makes more sense that way because all vampires hate the sun and they all want the sun to be gone. So while a vampire, it is best to travel at night. :) With perks though we will diminish the damage too so it make it also a progression as we become stronger! :D
