any chance this is ESPFE? seems like a very small change for a whole ESP. Like the mod though either way. TY

EDIT: Probably not since last update in 2017 ... oh well

You could use xEdit to convert it into one. If you do, feel free to upload it so others can use it.

And no, I don't think I'm going to update it. I don't even use it anymore as it just doesn't bother me anymore.

@muizzsiddique could you do the same for malachite renamed to moldavite ? malachite is a crystalline weak material, and in comparison, moldavite is actual green glass and pretty tough at that. and maybe steel recipe = iron + coal ? pretty please ?

anyway, great mod and thanks for the fix ! ;)

The goal of this mod was to rename it to a metal/crystal that it actually looks like. Moldavite looks too green for me, personally, and since they're both crystals in the real world it is hard for me to care. You could try making a retexture of malachite and then use Creation Kit to rename any instance of "Malachite" to "Moldavite"? I literally learnt how to do this 3 days ago so you should be able to do it too. Upload it when you can.

      Oh, and thanks!

ok, thanks for the tips, i'll try doing it myself . I don't need a retex, the name is fine ( and moldavite is not crystal, it's glass :p ) thanks again for the help !

Does this also change the recipe for making steel? Iron + Copper doesn't make steel. There was another mod that did just this, and also made Steel take Coal + Iron.

Unfortunately, no. I much prefer creating a recipe with items that are actually being used elsewhere than having an item that only serves one purpose. You can search to see if JewelCraft has been ported.

Can you craft torches? If not, then I think I'll include a charcoal recipe in a different mod.

Dammit, now I can't unsee the "Corrundum Problem".

Charcoal already does exist in the base game, FormID 00BFB09, Coal01.

Honestly, failing that, the Smelter itself does appear to be fired by coal, visually. So virtually, it's there for free.

Nevermind, I found a mod for SSE which does this and only this. Using it along with your file.

Is charcoal used for anything or is it just a misc. item?

Um, i'm sorry to request this so soon, and i am not sure if you would even do it, but well, with the *Not compatible with mods that edit corundum ore veins entries or the corundum ore and ingot items. Though, I doubt you'd be using this if you had such a mod.* Can we get some example mods to help us know what sort of mods that can conflict that might already be in our load order but we wouldn't know.

I hope that wasn't rude of me to ask such a thing~ it's simple mods like this that keep up the charm to modding!

I don't know if there really is any. I was just trying to be explicit here. There is bound to be a mod that edits corundum ore/ore veins/ingots but do something else instead.

Corundum is a crystalline form of aluminium oxide, a bit of major change?

as you said, corundum is crystal, no way to make ingot out of it. It's probably one of bethesda's mistakes(along with, imo, malachite, which should be moldavite).
