Hello, I've run into a little conflict with the mod and another one I'm using.
In short, I play skyrim with a mod called Requiem, and in that you are capable of creating special tomato soul gems with the wabbajack, and I guess something in your soul harvester script doesn't like that. Is there any way to turn off that particular section of the mod? Cause you're probably not going to create a patch for a mod that isn't even officially out for SSE.
There is a notification at the top left corner of the screen having to do with trapping souls, and I'm not sure why this mod is making it show up. I went through Mysticism in SSEEdit to see if I could figure it out, and found nothing.
The notification is "[Character name] is trapping a [Size of soul] Soul, but has no [Size of soul] Soul Gems".
Character name is just in place of whatever name I choose to use for that character, and size of soul is he type of soul gem, such as black, grand, greater, etc. So for example, I keep seeing a message popup that says something like: "Nickathon is trapping a Black Soul, but has no Black Soul Gems".
When I turn off the soul trap notifications in the MCM, it does remove the standard soul trap message that says "No soul gem large enough" but it does not turn off this. If I keep the messages turned ON using the MCM, then I am just seeing the standard message PLUS this new notification that is popping up.
When I remove Mysticism from my load order, this new notification no longer pops up and only the standard "No soul gem large enough" shows. This leads me to believe that this mod must be the culprit, since the message goes away entirely if this is not in my load order.
Do you have any insight on this, bluedanieru? Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I love this mod but all of these notifications drive me crazy.
I am using Apocalypse, so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it.
Per the readme, in the Soul Harvester section, that notification will show up from Conjuration level 20, as a warning when you are about to incorrectly fill a gem. There is currently no way to disable it.
Note that it only shows when you're about to incorrectly fill a soul gem with a smaller soul than it can hold, which (hopefully) is a rare occurrence.
Also note that you can get the message to go away by turning on Smart Souls from the MCM. It kinda sounds like you don't want to bother with Soul Trap stuff, so that would be my recommendation.
I am planning a release of Mysticism:TLA soonish with some new Conjuration spells. Since you've brought this up, I'll also include a way to remove this message.
When I read about this mod, I assumed that Soul Harvester was a new spell. I didn't realise it replaced Soul Trap. I really don't understand why people are so annoyed by the way soul gems work in the vanilla game. This mod actually hurts me because I have a surplus of Lesser Soul Gems and not enough Petty Soul Gems, due to there being so many petty souls in the world and very few lesser souls. I gladly fill all my larger soul gems with petty souls and use them to power enchantments that I can sell for 1700$ a piece; I'll buy three filled Grand Soul Gems with that gold if I need to. I didn't notice any way to disable Soul Harvester or make any kind of exceptions. So long story short, is there any way I can make my soul trap behave like normal, or restore the original soul trap without deleting this mod (I really like some of the other spells)?
EDIT: Basically, if there was a console command to give me the level 1 version or the level 20 version of Soul Harvester then I'd be fine. I tried searching {help "lost" 3} but sadly there didn't seem to be a variable which affected the level of Soul Harvester I have.

It's *still* my goto for smart souls functionality because of the SoulFire power.
