Hey! Sorry to just now be getting back to you. I am thinking about adding a mcm menu option so you can adjust the amount. And yes, the current amount is 250.
Nice idea and like that it is simple and specialized! Hate to be that person that asks for a bunch of features, but would it easy to add the reverse as well (creating gold ingots from Septims) and a way to define the amount of Septims needed? Some players might want their wealth displayed as stacks of ingots in their houses for whatever reason, and some mods introduce different exchange rates. Anyway, thank you for the mod!
I have thought about changine septims into ingots. I may look at adding that. I hve thought about looking into adding a mcm menu option that can change the amount of coins as well. Thanks for the feed back and glad you like it.
you don't have to have an official die caster engrave a coin. due to the fact it is really made from gold it makes no difference who fakes it, because the gold is the substance that holds the value. but if you were to make a septum from iron, and use magic color it so as to make fakes, that would be a different story.
Since the US Secret Service is in charge of going after counterfeiters of the US Dollar, does that mean that counterfeiting the Septim will make the Penitus Oculatus go after you?
If the Septims are made of gold and marked for the Empire with appropriate stamps then they are technically not counterfeit and are legal currency, same for real world US currency, if you buy the paper stock from the treasury (which you can do) whatever you print on it is by law legal tender.
I have a U.S. Mint near me where 20$ bills are made ,that I have visited and seen million dollar stakes of currency, you can not buy or own the cloth they print U.S. currency on. and without it having gone though the system and having its serial number recorded down. If it leaves the mint with serial number but without being registered into system it is counterfeit.
you can't counterfeit it if it's made of real gold.. it would just cycle through the money supply, and would be recognized as gold and therefore it has intrinsic value based on it's gold. Paper notes on the other hand are something you can fake.
