Hi Beagle547, I just recently found and downloaded your shields mod and I totally love the effects! They all look so cool. I was wondering if there's a chance that you could add an optional file that allows the enchantment effects to activate more often? Say maybe 25%, 50%, 75%, or even 100% of the time? I play as a bow user and would really love to see the effects activate more often when I get surrounded by several melee enemies and have to use my dagger/sword and shield. I mostly play solo or have Inigo with me, so it would be so helpful. If this is something that's possible, I would greatly appreciate it. If you prefer not to, I completely understand that too.
Anyways, just wanted to thank you for making and sharing such an excellent mod!
Hey Jazziah, thank you and sorry for the late reply :) I think that should be possible I just don't have a lot of time to work on mods lately so I can't tell when I get to upload a new version
Thanks so much for the quick reply Beagle547! It's certainly not necessary as real life is way more important :) It was just a thought and I am enjoying the game and shield enchantments as is :)
Again, a huge thank you for making cool enchantments for the shield!
I uploaded two alternative files for the ESL flagged version, with a 50% and 100% chance. I also updated the mod description at the bottom if anyone wants to change it themselves to something else :)
Just a heads up the plugin has an unused overwrite record of RestoreHealthFFSelf which is used by healing spells.
If you have any magic overhaul mod or any mod that touches restoration spells I suggest you move this plugin higher in the load order so the record gets overwritten by your other mods.
i know its been a while, but i just found this mod and i already love it. im gonna use the shield enchantments every day. thanks a lot. :-)

here is what i found so far: the shields all give out a noise when you get close to them. - Riften - The Bee and Barb - in a room upstairs, behind a bed - Winterhold - The Frozen Hearth - in a room under the bed - Markarth - Abandoned House - in a corner next to the chimney - Falkreath - Dead Man's Drink - in a room inside a basket - Solitude - The Winking Skeever - in a room upstairs, next to a wardrobe
hi I'm happy to hear you like my mod :) I added some images in case anyone doesn't want to look around everywhere, I hope it helps.. in case you don't want a direct spoiler the amulet is hidden in the archmage quarters in winterhold
please add a better description on there locations please. its like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. its ridiculous. vanilla had it down pat ………
Having a look in xEdit, the following Cells are used in this mod - Riften - The Bee and Barb - Winterhold - The Frozen Hearth - Markarth - Abandoned House - Winterhold College - Arch-Mage's Quarters - Falkreath - Dead Man's Drink - Solitude - The Winking Skeever
I couldn't even wait for a shield to drop. I just found the item code and added it so I could disenchant it and then try it out. First one I tried was the Soul Trapping Blockade. Awesome. Works with ASGM. And it works with custom shields. I also like that there is a mechanic to it, and it's not just as easy as blocking or bashing that casts the spell.
Can't wait to try the others. It's nice to see some offensive love for the shield.
glad you like it be aware they may drop but you can also find every shield once at a specific place - if you don't like searching the whole place you can see it in the description (mark the hidden area to read the location)
they do not gain a benefit from perks and should heal/damage about 15points each second but I'm not sure if it really does that, sometimes when I tested it it felt not very strong and then it drained its health bar rather quickly but it shouldn't be too strong without the amulet.
I wonder if something got mixed up here I never had a chest for this version only for the old skyrim I had this mod with a chest but I never converted that mod I made this one new from scratch :s
What about magic regain? And maybe you should increase the 10% to 25%. Also what about a spell breaker ward clone? Would love to have my shields use magical wards too.

either way you can also use this mod to disenchant anything:
No Enchantment Restriction SKSE Remake

My best bet would be to search those locations.
