Seifu's Preem Dwarven Pipeworks Redux is a complete remake of all dwarven pipes, including new 3D models and optimized textures. I've used some serious UV Mapping optimization, a technique based on optimizing the available texture space by using symmetry, arrays and other smart techniques to get as much value as possible from every available pixel.

Thanks to all these efforts in optimization, I've been able to pack an amazing level of detail in all these pipes, while most of them use just 1024p textures (1k). Chances are your modded Skyrim Septims or cutlery are actually more expensive in terms of performance than most of these pipes. Of course, all textures are also using (the correct) BC compression and LODs.

This mod comes in 3 options, up to you to decide which one you prefer!
  • a) Chrome Bronze Texture
  • b) Rusted Bronze Texture
  • c) Matte Bronze Texture (Vanilla Friendly)

You can't choose if you want 4k, 2k or 1k textures. I've taken that choice for you, selecting the most reasonable texture resolutions for each case. 70% of the textures are using 1024p (1k) maps, the other 30% are using 2k resolutions and yes, these percentages are pretty accurate.

  • Download and install Rene Vol. I Resources from the requirements tab.
  • Download and install Preem Dwarven Pipeworks Redux - Part 1 - Meshes.
  • Choose and install your Part 2 of preference: either 2a (chrome), 2b (rust) or 2c (matte). Just one.

If you are using a mod manager install it like any other mod. If you are not using a mod manager, simply drop the files in your Skyrim SE/AE installation directory.
This mod simply replaces vanilla assets, so it's compatible with everything. Just make sure my mod overwrites any other ones that might tweak Dwemer assets.

What's new in this "Redux" Version?
I've posted (or will post soon, if you are downloading this at launch) a changelog on the posts tab, check it out! :)

Should I download this Redux version if I downloaded the original mod?

Yes. The original mod is no longer available. This Redux version implements a few bug fixes, some of them are pretty serious so you should totally update the mod to this new version. You can simply remove the old version and install the new one without issues.

When is the PBR Texture Conversion coming?
It's already released. Find it here.

The pipes are looking washed out and gray~ish, why? How do I solve this?

This is due to ENB's "hacky" implementation of screen space reflections. Skyrim uses an old Specular workflow for material rendering, which uses cubemaps to fake metalness. Said cubemaps are also in charge of defining "which metal" the prop should look like - bronze wil be orange, silver is white, ebony is purple, etc.

ENB presets can be tweaked to mix these cubemaps with screen space reflections, or disable the cubemaps entirely. Both of those implementations can make some materials look washed out, as you are esentially turning all cubemaps black, or partly black.

If this is your case, open up your ENB interface in-game and look for an option to either mix cubemap and screen space reflections, or simply disable screen space entirely.

Seifu's PREEM Series is part of Skyrim Renewed VOL. I, which is a personal major modding project that aims to remake some of the most outdated meshes and textures from Skyrim.

Skyrim Renewed VOL. I is focusing on dwemer dungeons. The project is almost finished by now and includes new 3D models for ALL static and animated meshes used on dwemer dungeons, all of which come with new textures developed with modern development software and techniques. The project also includes tweaks to the level design of all dungeons and reworked volumetric lighting.

Skyrim Renewed is currently under development and all features listed above will be slowly released during the course of 2025.
