About this mod
Adds transparency to Xavbio's Glass equipment retexture and optionally boosts cubemap intensity for brighter sparkles.

- Permissions and credits
Adds transparency to Xavbio's Glass equipment retexture (Vanilla Gold variant and vanilla + Creation Club equipment only) based on the Glass masks modder's resource offered in its optional downloads, patching them for transparent and/or multilayer parallax meshes.
An optional download brightens the Glass part of environment masks to make the corresponding parts of meshes more sparkly.
See the articles section for instructions on how to DIY this with other assets, including adding transparency to textures and transparency support and/or multilayer parallax to meshes.

Using the mask resources provided on Xavbio's page, I set the Glass parts' alpha channel to medium grey (128) on the diffuses with everything else set to white (255), and greatly brightened them on the envmasks.
Covers vanilla Glass weapons and armor, CC Glass staff and crossbow, and ElSopa Quivers Redone.
- - - Mesh Troubleshooting - - -
No meshes are included in this; it does nothing without transparency-enabled or multilayer parallax meshes. If installing this over Xavbio's retexture changes how the Glass part of your equipment looks, you already had transparent or multilayer parallax meshes installed.
If the Glass part of your transparent/MLP mesh is...
...completely invisible or appears to have 'pixelated' transparency: it may have its Alpha Test Threshold set too high or exactly at 128. In NifSkope, open its NiAlphaProperty block and set the threshold lower than 128 - I recommend setting it to 20 to minimize pixel artifacting if you need the Alpha Test function. Otherwise, remove Alpha Test entirely from the NiAlphaProperty.
...completely opaque: its alpha mask may not have been exported correctly. Ensure the mask is applied and all layers are merged before exporting.
...discolored or too dark: the texture may have been exported with sRGB color rather than linear color.
Please provide screenshots when reporting visual issues. I cannot offer support without seeing what you're looking at. A link to whatever mesh replacer you may be using would also be very helpful.
Refraction, IIRC, is broken on Skyrim SE and causes Z-fighting or flickering with transparent refractive meshes. Keep Xavbio's opaque textures or replace your transparent refractive meshes with opaque refractive/multilayer parallax ones.
- - - Compatibility - - -
Made for use with Xavbio's Glass Armors and Weapons Retexture 2.2.1 or newer, Vanilla Gold option.
Not compatible with other replacers for the vanilla Glass equipment's diffuse or envmask textures.
