   You could integrate the shield as a reward for finding Amren's Sword.  Same city and general difficultly level as the quest for the armor and sword.

   thanks for this, it works great and i like the balancing choices you made :)
   
   only issue i noticed is that the scimitar is named "Sellsword'r Scimitar" haha. also was it intentional that the chest in Purewater Run containing all the gear is still enabled?
