Extended Hotkey System looked promising but for some reason "Dual Wield Support" is crossed out on the main page, with the note "not currently available," and no further explanation anywhere. As the mod hasn't been updated in over a year, I guess that's that :(
Works as described. Similar to an LE mod I used to use waaaaay back in the day.
I was wondering though: with powers/shouts would it be possible to have the script re-equip whatever was equipped prior to the hot key being pressed? For example, if Unrelenting Force is equipped, and a hot key for Whirlwind Sprint is pressed, could it then re-equip Unrelenting Force once Whirlwind has been cast?
Thanks for this comment. I thought it wasn't working but it's just with D-pad on controller not working. I have macros mapped to extra hotkeys and those buttons are working.
+1. That would be HUGE. Something AFAIK has never been done but is sorely needed (if it can be done). Always bothered me that 2h builds are somewhat limited in spell casting (switch to a spell, cast, then switch back to weapon vs a hotkey to cast without switching)
Ah, finally! I found a mod that'll let me bind a key that'll instantly let me transform into a werewolf.
It just works. Thanks!
By the way, this mod can work for controller users too. lnstall Auto Input Switch and bind the power of your choice on 1 - 8. Then, once its bound, open Steam Input and make a button on your controller send a 1 - 8 keyboard input. It'll work right away.
And if you're on a Steam Deck or Bazzite like me, set SteamDeck=0 %command% in Steam's launch parameters. I already applied this before installing STB Quick Hotkey Cast to get a different hotkey mod to work, but for those who haven't done it already, if you don't apply this parameter then Skyrim will outright disable most keyboard inputs and therefore prevent you from using this mod... or any hotkey-related mod for that matter.
I just use a mod that takes a portion of my magicka to maintain those spells until I turn them off. Ebonyflesh is -75 mag but it never falls off. Lets me save my spell casts for less tedious things :P
