Thanks to all of you who've downloaded and endorsed the mod so far! Today, I've uploaded the Northern Vanilla Farmhouse versions (Parallax and Non Parallax) with nails. I'm working on Simplicity of Snow versions and the Stonehills AE farmhouse. I'm hoping to have those done in the next day or so.

Q: What does this mod do and how it is different from Yuril's? A: FYX - 3D Farmhouse Walkway replaces the fake planks on walkways and boardwalks in front of farmhouses. This mod is meant to be used alongside that one and replaces the fake planks on the farmhouse models themselves.
Installation:
1) Install FYX - 3D Farmhouse Walkway. 2) Endorse that mod. 3) Install this mod. Overwrite if/when when asked. 4) Enjoy! 5) Because this is a mesh replacer and has no esp, you can install or uninstall it at anytime without any ill-effects on your save.
I have heard that BDS v3 looks best with Complex Parallax Material. I will test this mod on top of this, this afternoon. It is getting difficult to chose, with Better Dynamic Snow Definitive Edition 2.11, Better Dynamic Snow 3 and Simplicity of Snow. Too much choices can be overhelming. And with Complex Parallax textures on top of this, I don't know what is the "best" version.
normal parallax has been depreciated for long time in favor of Complex Material (better in every way), and most recently PBR within Community Shaders (better than CM in every way). Multi-pass snow shaders (BDS 2.11, Simplicity of Snow) have no benefits other than that they were made to work well with normal (old, bad) parallax, and not the newer Complex Material / PBR. Shame that many of these farmhouse / walkway / longhouse mods (not Frank specifically, I love you and thanks for all your amazing mods) haven't caught up and are still supporting the old technology over the newer, better stuff.
In which way is PBR is better than Complex Material from ENB ? I have see many mods for it, but I can't use it, since I have Bjorn ENB with Dark Ages Reshade. So sad ENB users can't use some effects from Community Shaders, some of them are looking realy cool.
I've personally used CM with multipass shaders for ages now with no problems. Whether or not PBR is better than CM is not only subjective but also situational.
@PlopAndFloc CM was always a hacky way to try to simulate PBR and its effects, which is what modern games use. here's a start, recommend checking out the CS discord if you want more detailed explanation/showcase from the devs themselves. Or the PBR mods already on nexus like Faultier's or Tomato's.
When I visually compare this mod meshes with those mods, I see that at least the less repetitive woodwalls changes aren't forwarded. That mod has distinctive thinner vertical planks that make the farmhouse wall, the files here don't have that. I used SMIM with nails (optional b) of this mod. Is that something I am missing?
Edit: I think I know why, I am comparing against Enhanced Texture Detail UV Tweaks + SoS optional, which has the thinner planks. If only there was a tool to easily combine and merge mesh changes....one can dream.
Sorry all, the patch is coming. It turned into something a bit bigger and more problematic. It'll be the next update after the one I'm currently doing.
I mean, it looks cool, but I can't stop my brain from thinking about how much of a tripping hazard this would be lol. Like, who in their right mind would create a walkway like this? Skyrim must have so many broken ankles
Haha! You're right. On top of that, in Vanilla all the boards are just held down with hope as there are no nails used. People would be tripping and falling through the walkways all the time! If it wasn't such a pain to fix, I'd probably redo the walkways with much tighter fitting boards. I say that, but in the future, if it bugs me enough, I may return and do just that 😂

Thank you! If Goldenhills uses one of the six farmhouse meshes, it'll be covered by this mod. I don't have AE and so can't check, I'm afraid. Let me know if a patch is needed and I'll see what I can do.
Goldenhills has its own standalone farmhouse model, based on Bethesda models. Here one comrade has already made a small improvement to this house: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59711 But the pillars, unfortunately, are not round, but only ropes.
Got it. Looks like it's one of the Beth farmhouses but they've put it in a different folder for the Creations. I'll add a patch soon.
I grabbed the mesh and put it into Blender. It's a variation on one of the Beth meshes. It'll take a bit of work but I'll patch it soon. I'll also add fully round posts to the farmhouse.

I like Yurils meshes much, maybe it's time to get rid of BDS 3.X...this is not the only one which needs a patch, difficult decision.
Also I thought of you use complex material with multi pass it just renders flat snow for ya

There is a claim on description page though that I found...false.
