The following NPCs are unsupported currently, so please don't post any issues with them:
- Shahvee - Shavari - Malborn - Brelas - Selveni Nethri - J'datharr - From-Deepest-Fathoms - Deep-In-His-Cups - dunWatchRiverWolf aka Scruffy - Nubaree - Razita - All NPCs regarding the Ill Met By The Moonlight quest
Those NPCs were done by TheBxushis, way back when. As I don't know how they were done, I cannot provide any support for them. I might redo them in a future update. But until then, all of these NPCs will remain unsupported. My apologies for that.
Unsure whether to use BUVARP or WARP? Read this article where I go over the differences: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/articles/3002 .
I had just come to a decision to create a mod called "Forgotten NPCs", when it occurred to me someone might already have done it. So thank you for this, it's exactly what I had in mind - although I'm daunted at the list of NPCs I'd never thought of including.
I'd like to nominate Rihada for inclusion. (The wife/widow of Eltrys, in Markarth.) I feel really bad for her having just lost her husband, and her employer, and I'd really like to help her find another home and/or job. (Yes, she still has her old job at the Treasury House, but that's looking precarious to me. And she still has no husband or proper home, which is going to be very uncomfortable when the baby comes.) Of course this may be beyond the scope of what you feel able to include - if so please say so, and I'll try to do it myself.
Thank you for the suggestion. Currently I'm working on several requests, so feel free to work on a mod for her. If your mod is done, let me know and I'll post a link to it, as recommended mod.
I'm currently using the latest version of the mod, by the time the next update is released, can I just update it normally or should I start a new game?
Can I make a request/suggestion? Small extension of Muiri/Shatter shields questline..going something like this: - You can do Muiri's quest ( of killing Alain) as alternative for Non-Dark Brotherhood members - When she also asks you to kill Nilsine, you can persuade her to instead try to make peace with Shattershields - After you finish "Blood on the Ice" quest, you can talk to Shattershields, say you've dealt with the killer, and talk about Muiri - When you see her back in Markarth, you can tell her they are willing to forgive her - Later on, a small scene in Windhelm tavern, similar to one from your Calcelmo mod. Afterwards, Muiri and Nilsine become marriage option.
Awesome, gets me excited for a new playthrough. When i first saw the concept of this, the first NPCs that came to mind were the random NPCs in Solstheim that are hypnotized by one of the stones (water i think) on the left of the map. When you free them they say they are sailing to Windhelm, and thank you for helping them. It was a little disappointing to find them not there, waited several 'game' weeks just to be sure. Thought it would be cool if you could find them in the warehouse on the docks, from memory it's a space that never gets used, then again there's no idle markers in there i don't think. Still, would be cool to find them somewhere. Worth considering. Thanks again for the mod.
Hey man, I don't know how I missed this gem before but I am definitely using this one next time I make a full playthrough.
I've noticed RDO is a requirement. Do you know by any chance if Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul is compatible with RDO? There is nothing on RDO's front page and there is no comment section there so it's hard to figure that one out.
I'm currently revamping this mod, removing the RDO, CRF and USSEP requirements, so the next version will no longer have those requirements. I don't know whether Immersive Citizens is compatible with RDO, however I do think that BUVARP itself has some conflicts with IC, since both edits AI packages of certain NPCs
Thanks. I'll wait for the next version, then. Do you think the conflicts will make the characters stand aimlessly staring at the air or they will simply use Immersive Citizens routines and then yours after the quest is done with minor hiccups?
That will dependant on the priority of the AI packages. Some of mine are needed to have this mod function. For instance, certain NPCs travelling to a certain point after their quest and snadboxing there. If IC's ones have a higher priority, the NPC won't travel to where they're supposed to be, correctly.
Man, I love the idea of this. I'm a bit bummed by the Cutting Room Floor requirement - there are so many other mods that I'd need to patch with CRF.
How dependent is your mod on CRF? Is it just the case that some of the NPCs your mod uses are ones that put back in the game by CRF? If so, should be pretty easy for me to fix SSEdit.
EDIT - Just read this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/articles/3002
I see you are actively working on removing the CRF requirement yourself so I'll keep my powder dry for now and put this on tracked! Good luck friend!
Yeah, so far, I've been able to succesfully remove the Cutting Room Floor, RDO and USSEP requirements. I've also removed many direct quest edits and implemented them using alternatives. So compatibility wise, that new version might better. However, the file still needs a lot of testing and might take some while to be released.
I just wanted to say that I used and loved this mod in the past but eventually ran into compatibility problems and plugin limit issues as other mods developed and I updated my load order for different styles of play throughs. I was delighted to see that you're working on it again and I'm looking forward to an update as and when your life allows it. This mod is one of those that can so easily become a permanent fix to the game for me for every playthrough, making Skyrim feel the way, in my personal vision, it should have from the start.
So I just wanted to thank you for all your work on this mod, and others, and for sharing them and giving people like me hours and hours of enjoyment in the game.
Aww... That's nice of you. Thank you for your kind words. <3
Currently, I'm working with some other people to create a replacement for the RDO requirement. Kinda like a resource to add follower and marriage dialogue to vanilla voices that don't support it, by default. I made a little progress on that:
Dang, that's a hard pass for me then. AA brought so much life, depth and seemingly minor yet charming details to the characters. It would be a crime to get rid of it now. Sorry.
I'm working on a new version, which will hopefully be more compatible with mods like AA.
Also, I should clarify: "Not compatible" doesn't mean it will crash, but rather that certain NPCs backstories and character development between the 2 mods will conflict. There might be some technical issues (like conflicting quest scripts) as well though, but as far as I know it won't cause a crash.
There have been reports of players having duplicates of certain NPCs, for instance.
As for patches, in order to keep my sanity I only make patches for mods that I use myself. However, I do allow other to make patches for mods that I don't use. I don't use AA myself, but if anyone wants to make a patch, feel free to.

Current state of the update:
I'm doing bugtesting of the current content, as well as adding a little new content, exclusive to the new version.
The revamped version will have its own page as well, which I will put a link to.

I hope this helps.
