One of my favourite grass mods now! Here's a quick summary of my quick run through (including performance):
Tundra: The standout to me. Looks great, runs exceptionally, and feels in line with what a tundra should be.
Pine Forest: Looks amazing, performance is on the heavy side, but it shows. Was run with 3d pine cones, sticks, etc. and Nature of the wildlands combined with traverse the ulvenwald and happy little trees, although I did notice it was heavier than when using freak's floral meadows.
Frozen Marsh: Amazing, however the mushroom texture seems to be bugged, although I notice a bug report has already been filed. Looks and runs great!
Riften: Amazing, could use an option for yellow and green fallen leaves for compatibility with more aspen textures.
Cold Regions: Looks and runs great despite flora not being the focus of the region.
Volcanic: Looks great, although a little sparse. Maybe some low shrubs could work to fill it out? I really like the poppies or whatever they are.
Solstheim: Looks great, no issues.
Really appreciate how true to the base game this mod feels and that most of the grasses are not overbearing. I can actually see where I'm going. Will probably be sticking with this going forward :)
This is very good ! I'm gonna wait for the season support, are you gonna make support for Seasonal Landscapes Unfrozen too ? There's few grass mods that support Unfrozen, yours could be a excellent additions !
I'm still at the point of trying to find a right approach: I don't want to make a lazy patch, so I'll try to use my alternative options for certain regions fit different seasons. For example I have a green version of tundra which can theoretically be used for a spring tundra and so on. So I'm working on adding options to regions rn keeping seasons in mind.
It will work with any landscape mod, doesn't have to be complex material parallax.
This one amazing mod saved me so much hassle, I was using greenland plus and that load order was a headache cuz I am using Atlantean Landscapes and got green tundra going. You saved me so much pain and agony with my 900 mod load order. If you make this a 1k texture with the complex grasses and stuff that would be amazing. I do streaming stuff and i been working on a wabbajack mod list trying to perfect it. Adding your mod and removing 6 others mods just made things start working that i didnt even know were broken. LMFAO Endorsed
I was going to run Cathedral Asset Optimizer which will do the same thing but bring all my textures down to 1k. As a live streamer and a vtuber, texture optimization is everything for me especially with stream labs running. That stuff impacts my game's performance running it in the background. I had to use my png model a lot and finally started being able to use my live 3D one once i started adding in some optimized texture variants of mods I already have that i didnt know existed to save vram. I think u can optimize 2k textures with CAO I am not sure but that's something I have to look at later once I got my load out order 100% with no glitches, no bad conflicts, and in perfect working condition. But seriously you saved me soooooo much hassle with grass mods keep up the progress :D Maybe a really good tree mod you could do next
CAO may cause some strange effects on the grass. Do you think you could check? It'll be very clear if something is wrong immediately so if it looks fine it is fine!
Complex grass is properly affected by the light and shadow, has normal maps, specular and subsurface scattering, but requires ENB preset or CS with complex grass support.
As for a performance hit, sadly, I can't really tell, still waiting for the community to comment on that, my own PC is not a good measure. I would imagine it affects VRAM usage the most.
With low being Skoglendi and high being Freak's, I'd give this a medium. This mod is very well picked out between performance and visuals in my opinion and that helps out a lot!
Of course I'm just one guy though, and my testing was not extensive. Run coc whiterun then follow the straight path out the tundra and thats my testing grounds.
Excited to see this massive project finally come to life completely! Seeing all the little updates you've been putting out for what feels like years now has been keeping me on the edge of the seat :) If I'm ever to mod this game again, I know the go-to. Congrats, Frolique!
A very beautiful grassland, thank you for your efforts! I'm not very familiar with this modular grass mod. Will it conflict with the grass mod I previously installed? For example, when I am using No Grass in Objects and QW Grass, I place your grass mod at the bottom of the sorting. Will this mod overwrite my other grass mods when I generate the grass cache?
When you open the fomod you'll be able to install or skip every single region separately.
Let's say you only want my tundra region and Soul Cairn: you pick them in the fomod, then load regional esps of my mod lower than QW's. This way you'll have QW's grass everywhere except tundra and Soul Cairn.

I'll look into what happened to the poor shroom, this is unacceptable!
Yes, a greener kind of Rift is in my list of future options indeed.
I'm really happy to hear that you (mostly) enjoyed it, hope you'll have a great time playing!
Regards :)
Yeah green tundra for spring and maybe summer, or maybe a mix of green and brown for summer and brown tundra for autumn, could be a idea
Would anyone know what mod is used for the rocks in the third picture?
Edit: I’m assuming it’s a landscape retexture but just wondering which one
Thank you for your kind words!

i is number fan of this mod and it just released
I'm considering adding 1k option, the only thing that worries me is a significant drop in visual quality.
