is there a future plan to make this mod as full successor of MFGfix (No longer require old MFG fix).
Bake the old code into the new SKSE. Im sure the original author would be kind enough to give permission.

Looking for a fix, my expressions when using mfg console do not stick, it constantly sets to neutral, any ideas on what's going wrong?

i personally dont know what's different with the other MFG fix mod,
i use vortex and it keep telling me the mod is redundant and there's no dependencies at all even though this mod need the other MFG fix in the requirements.

This is the NG (Next Generation) version of MFGFix - meaning it is 100% compatible will all game versions from 1.5.97 to the current runtime.  Since Bethesda insists upon tinkering with/updating a 14+ year old game, NG versions of SKSE-dependent plugins (.dll) are necessary in order to prevent issues with crashes across the different versions of Skyrim SE/AE.  Each time Bethesda deploys an update, the hooks which SKSE & the .dll plugins depend on are changed which causes issues with CTD since the .dlls cannot read the hooks in the recompiled Skyrim Special Edition.exe.  Bethesda needs to quit with their profit-driven tinkering/updates that serve no other purpose other than to break SKSE & the mods that depend upon it to run.  The vast majority of so-called "updates" are Creation Club add-ons - the vast majority of which can be had in other mods here on Nexus/other websites free of charge.  No, I'm not promoting nor condoning piracy when I say this before anyone gets any funny ideas...  Case in point - Sunder & Wraithguard CC content can be had free of charge via downloading/installing The Tools of Kagrenac mod here on Nexus.  That's merely one example of many where CC content can be had free of charge & is vastly superior in terms of content/quality.

So, do I need the original MFG fix in order for the MFG fix NG to work?

No, this one completely overwrites the original one.

The requirement says the 'latest' Mfg Fix (independent of your game version.) Does that mean I have to install the SE 1.6+ version even though I am still on 1.5.97?

Yes, the problem regarding game version would come from the skse plugin (the .dll file), this one here was made with CommonLibSSE-NG so it's version-agnostic.

Just a note that I added this mod to my loadout after another mod said it requested the NG version but found that doing so made another mod--Jserpa's Remote Interactions cease to work. Going back to only using the non-NG version for now.

I am currently having an issue with my custom follower where she likes to close her eyes after a line of dialogue. Troubleshooting revealed that disabling Mfg Fix and Mfg Fix NG seems to resolve it. It's worth noting that I'm working on a framework that ties her into Conditional Expressions Extended, so I can't be sure if it's an interaction or something else. Any advice would be helpful.

EDIT: I've tested this across several versions of Mfg Fix NG, including the latest. The issue seems to persist. I have confirmed that it also occurs on the current release version of my follower, which doesn't have the new expression system.

EDIT2: Actually, the author of CEE gave me a few pointers, and I realized that MFG Fix NG is in fact a hard requirement for CEE. Oops.

EDIT3: Further testing shows that this isn't something related to what I've done, from what I can tell, especially because it's happening on a previous version of my follower. Seems like this bug is rearing it's ugly head for me to fight with. I might just disable this and other mods in my testing profile and wait for updates.

Sorry if this is annoying but I do need clarification? Does MfgFix v1.0.1 work with Skyrim GOG v1.6.659? It states to support Skyrim v1.5.97, v1.6.1170 and VR but i get confused with statement like
This is the NG (Next Generation) version of MFGFix - meaning it is 100% compatible will all game versions from 1.5.97 to the current runtime
and someone said that it work with Skyrim v1.6.640 and usually that mean it may work with Skyrim GOG v1.6.659.

I am using BEE's so just asking will this mod work with 1.6.659?  Running the GOG version and was curious since a mod I was looking at is requiring Mfg NG.  Just asking since you didn't specifically state that this version is compatible with BEE's so was unsure.

I still have the old version of this mod without any problems, would it be necessary to change it?

I haven't found any.  Old one works like a charm.  This version allows new people to get it and create new patches.

Some mods may not work right together without an upgrade. For example, I used Conditional Expressions before along with Eating Animations, and could see my character's mouth move when eating. When I installed Conditional Expressions Extended, I lost the chewing animation. The recommendation was to upgrade to the NG version to solve the problem.
