Can confirm using test version and Skyrim 1.6.640 with Shades of Mortality. That my game loads and I become ethereal and death is prevented when I would otherwise be killed.
Logs for both Shades of Mortality and Resurrection API look good. Hooks for ResurrectionAPI are successfully installed.
Would be great if someone with 1.6.xx but not latest version of the game could comment whether or not the test version loads for their game version and prevents death with one of my addons made for it.
After installing the new update, I consumed a nirnroot and the low-health heartbeat indicator triggered and would not stop playing. When I disabled this, it didn't happen anymore. I appreciate the work you do. Thanks.
Got a similiar bug, endless heartbeat sounds and blur after the first fight in Helgen. Dunno if its a mod conflict or not. But fantastic mod otherwise. Playing it with Stages of Suffering. Would be cool if you could find a solution for that bug. If its a mod conflict, I might try to find a mod to disable the low health effects instead, I think there are some on the nexus.

It's not caused by death, it's caused by taking damage. It doesn't always trigger, either.

Edit: fix is now in optional files as RC1 i don't have a lot of time recently to play but i didn't want to delay a fix until i do, so while i did test it, i may not have caught everything
(That's why I would love if someone used this Resurrection API to create something that functions similar to the *intended* purpose of Respawn Soulslike, but without all of the glitches caused by papyrus and the way that mod functions and the way it fakes "actual death" and "respawn")
It occurred to me how I might want to use this. Would it be possible to configure this so that any NPC's health can't drop below 0 while blocking? I'm not really sure what this mod is capable of based on the description.
Do you have plans to port over any of fenix's other plugins? They have some experimental stuff on their patreon page as well. really interesting looking but all for SE

this API is to prevent death, not to resurrect from the dead. Tho you could make a spell that allows them to survive deadly attacks for x seconds for example
