Hello! Thank you for the info, I never heard of that mod until now! To answer your question - these two mods are compatible, from what I can see from a quick check of scripts and plugin.
Down below are the differences between our mods:
⊙ HYBfS mod has a really cool feature of asking NPCs for blood, my mod doesn't have that! ⊙ HYBfS's script for harvesting own blood plays when Septimus Signus gives you the Essence Extractor, and it plays once (correct me if I'm wrong), because it's a MISC item and you can't un-equip it. My script plays whenever you equip CACO's Blood Extractor, so you can say no the first time, and then you can change your mind. ⊙ my mod mainly concentrates on using CACO's blood ingredients that you harvest as a master alchemist. Harvesting own blood in my mod is more of an added feature, which you can really just turn off via console (see description of my mod) ⊙ oh, and I added a small touch to harvesting own blood with dealing the player a configurable amount of health damage as "payment" for doing that, lol ) I hate needles and taking blood tests, so I felt that doing so in the game should have concequences as well ⊙ this last point is not really a difference, but a thought. Vanilla Essence Extractor is used only on the dead, and CACO's Blood Extractor can be used on the living (sleeping) NPC's. In order to use it, you must have a high perk in Alchemy. So that's why in my mod, I decided not to link these features to the Essence Extractor, but to CACO's Blood Extractor (and also to enable multiple runs of the script because it's re-equippable)
