I always name my Test saves some variant of "Test". It's just a visual cue. Working clothes as it were.
Besides, if you say install a large scale (Such as new towns or inns) into a mod you want to make sure dosn't conflict into a ongoing game, you can have this on the PC when you run around to make sure. Such as "Inns of Skyrim" and "Seapoint", which turn out to edit the same area.
That way when you look at the game generated saves for a crash instance, you can see a visual cue from the thumbnail, that's all.

Why not just type in save "test"?

Enjoy if you want.
I switch out mods so often though so I can't have a mod conflict save :/
Unless I start a new game without any mods at all that is, and keep that save separate...
