I'm having issues with the interact button, for example: i'm in my inventory and i hold the A button on a piece of armor, it will rapidly equip and unequip, as if it's spamming the A button instead of pressing it once. this also extends to menus and such.. any advice?
Hey there!! Really cool Mod. Much better than the "official" one. Feels more intuitive. Only thing i want to change is to swap the controls of Fav Group 1-4 with Swift Potion Controls. How would i do that??
Actually, the character sheet should only open when you press SELECT + LS right.
Anyway, you can delete it from the steam layout:
- Make sure your controller is connected - Go to the Skyrim page in your Steam library - Click on the controller icon - Click on "Edit layout" - Go to the "Joysticks" section - Scroll down to "LEFT JOYSTICK (MODE SHIFT)" - Go to the line that says "U Key" - Press X button to "Remove Command".
Thanks a ton. Also, I'm encountering an issue where secondary action binds (for example helmet toggle [LB + DPadD]) will be superseded by the button's primary bind (in this case sneaking [DPadD]). This only happens sometimes; I just restart the game until everything works as intended. I've tried disabling / reenabling Steam input and switching layouts and then back. Have you seen this before?
If the game performs the button's primary action instead of the secondary action, it seems like it doesn't register the "modifier/shift" key for some reason (LB in your example).
This could have a number of causes: - Something might be interfering with the steam layout - Something is overriding the controlmap.txt file provided in my mod - Keybindings were changed in the MCMs or the .ini files ptovided with my mod - Keybindings were changed in the Controls settings in game
Have you modified any of these?
You could also check if there is a ControlMap_custom.txt somewhere in your Skyrim/Lorerim folders other than the one I provided. If so, you could try to delete it or make sure it is empty.
If you are having trouble with my layout since updating LoreRim to 3.0.11 or later:
This is because my controller layout is incompatible with the ControlMap_custom.txt file, which was found in the "LoreRim - Keyboard Map (Disable for Controller Support)" before 3.0.11. Up to this point, you would simply deactivate this before using my (or the original LoreRIM) controller layout, as outlined in the installation instructions.
However, as of 3.0.11, the ControlMap_custom.txt was moved to "Lorerim - MCM and INI Settings -> Root".
If you want to keep using my layout, the only workaround I can offer you right now is to remove ControlMap_custom.txt from "Lorerim - MCM and INI Settings -> Root" (at your own risk!).
I am currently re-working my layout from the ground up and will try to provide a proper fix with the next version.
Oh hell yeah, thank you! The default controls are... certainly something lol, can't wait to see what you update cause I love the changes you already made
It is definitely necessary; some of the commands won't work without it.
Make sure steam is running and your controller is connected before you open the link.
Also make sure to copy the link and paste it into a new tab, then press enter. There should be a pop-up saying "Open with steam?" If this pop-up does not appear, check if pop-ups are disabled in your browser settings.
Thank you, got it working now. Quick question, where can I find the controlermap file or text file to configure the keybinds? I'm looking to swap between controller and KB/M without enabling and disabling the controller maps each time. And wanting to use wheeler with G instead of T on keyboard. But then there is no keybind on keyboard for "wait" and I can't find it in the controls setting in-game either. Any chance to adjust that?
Same for me. Do we have to delete any files with Biggies setup?
Keyboard is clicked off. Installed it below Rule 11. Copied link and it gives a pop up to go to steam, but nothing happens. Do we have to put the file in a specific location or locate it in Lorerim? Sorry if these questions seem a bit silly.

I re-designed the layout from the ground up.
It should work with the latest version of LORERIM (3.0.12)
For more information on the changes, new installation instructions (!!!) and a complete overview over all the buttons, visit the Description page.
Hope you enjoy this new version!

You do not have to to remove ControlMap_custom.txt from "Lorerim - MCM and INI Settings -> Root" anymore.
However, I am currently playing around with 3.0 and working on a new version with some major changes.
