first of all: very cool, love the idea and it's awesome that you are donating money to charity. one question I do have before I add it to my modlist, does this change the leveled list or is it injected via a script (or in other words, do I need to rebuild my patch)
I copy and pasted the chain lightning spell tome for the vendors, I just deleted lightning in their name and replaced it with sparks. So It should be on the same exact leveled lists as chain lightning, though I haven't personally verified this in game yet. One thing I can say for sure is there are no scripts, I don't know how to script and those that do deserve cash money.
This is a really cool idea! I always wondered why Bethesda didn't expand on the chain lightning effect. What has always bothered me about the chain lightning spell is the casting time! Maybe make a tweaked, expert chain lightning spell? With a similiar speed than Thunderbolt? I'd really appreciate it, but just a suggestion.
Edit: I just realized, My chain lightning's casting time was changed by mysticism. Looked it up in SSEedit where I saw they are both the same speed.
Thank you! I'm excited to see how much traction that specific part gets, I hope I'm not violating any terms of service or anything like that, I checked for such a thing in Nexus guidelines pretty extensively. I'm thinking about having all my mods do such a themed charity thing for each mod. Clothing/armor would go towards sustainable clothing companies, my potions mods would go toward doctors without borders, my food mods would go towards feeding the hungry... any fire spells I would want to go towards wildfire relief. I love modding, but I love giving back more. I found an organization called Planet Wild recently that I particularly like.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the mod itself. I'm open to feedback, especially regarding balancing.
I'm looking forward to trying it out! Unfortunately, I'm a Nord this time and magic is for the weak elves. But I'll try it out just as soon as I can find myself some magika enhancing gear! Probably be awhile though =P.
I hope you like it, I'm open to balancing feedback. Its intended to be a mid to late game spell, it really drains the magicka, from you and your enemies ;)
Its been one of the more fun mods I've tested for sure, seeing it leap to so many targets in a room, one after another, fills me with dopamine. And yet, it feels balanced too. I think it just fills a niche Skyrim players aren't used to having available.
Although I wish it was just a base part of shock spells, where it can jump between targets. Would set it apart from fire and frost. Fire deals more damage and has a linger, frost deals stamina damage and slows, while shock's only bonus is magicka damage. So it should totally get an extra bonus of making it jump between enemies
That is actually a really good point. I'm someone who has a (dare I toot my own horn) mind for balancing, and that makes sense to have lightning have a bonus. I think, subconsciously, that is partially why I made the mod. I like having options for the spells that represent all the possible combinations of the effects or archetypes.

Edit: Done
It edits 3 different leveled lists, I didn't touch the one that USSEP overwrites. IIRC they are:
DLC2LitemSpellTomes50Destruction
LitemSpellTomes50Destruction
LitemSpellTomes50AllDestruction
