Overview
This mod adds external spreadsheet tracking of any items you have collected during a playthrough. It is compatible with any mod and is highly customizable with features such as custom blacklists and whitelists that you can edit to your heart's content.
Enchanted Item Tracking
The base game features randomly enchanted items that make 100% item collection nearly impossible. This is due to the game's leveled list system for randomly enchanted items. There are three levels of enchantment per item and as your player increases in level it becomes impossible to find the lower level enchanted items. To mitigate this, the spreadsheet counts enchanted items differently. To get 100% completion, you only need to collect one of each type of enchanted weapon with a specific enchantment type. For example, if you get one iron dagger with a fire enchantment, you do not need to get any others. If you do happen to collect multiples, they will be counted as an extra item. This allows you to try to get true 100% completion if you are crazy enough to do so. Or, you could just ignore random enchanted items altogether!
How It Works
The mod adds buttons to Breezehome (or the Hall of Heroes in the Legacy of the Dragonborn version) that will perform a variety of functions. The first will export a list of all items detected in the game. This is how the mod is able to function with any mods you may be using. From there, other buttons allow you to export a list of all items currently in a newly-added strong box. After exporting this list, running the python program will add those items to any that have been previously accounted for and generate a spreadsheet for your viewing pleasure.
Legacy of the Dragonborn
If you are using Legacy of the Dragonborn, there is an alternate version of this mod that moves the new containers and buttons to the Hall of Heroes, allowing quick access to the display chest.
Compatibility
For item tracking purposes, this mod is 100% compatible with any mod imaginable. The only required actions will be to add any items to the blacklist or other custom lists as necessary. See the Readme for details.
This mod MAY be incompatible with mods that alter the interior of Breezehome. It places a safe, strongbox, and buttons on the wall in the bedroom.
Use only ONE version: the standard download or the LOTD download.
This mod may be added or removed at any point in the playthrough. If it is removed, you will lose all items in the safe and strongbox.
Instructions
Download the mod using a mod manager or manually and install it as you normally would. From there, open the README in the mod folder and follow the instructions presented there. PLEASE READ THE README as it contains vital information that will prevent you from losing any data upon switching mod load order or save files.
It is highly recommended that you are familiar with certain concepts such as FormIDs and Plugin Indices. Using SSEEdit to poke through your game files to find specific items will be extremely important in editing your own custom lists.
Note that the spreadsheet is not intended to be updated manually. Most features will work in this way but the intention is to regenerate the spreadsheet with the python program every time you want to count new items.
Updating
If updating from version 1.0 or 1.0.1 to version 1.1 or greater, make sure the safe and strongbox are empty first.
