Aside from the problem with the dragon door to Hela's Hall, this was actually a really creative use of vanilla and modded assets together. If I must say anything, I feel that perhaps it's a little barren... no matter where I went in the mod, life seemed... empty which doesn't make much sense for the norse afterlife. There should be a lot more there. I DO approve of this mod however for people who want to get a taste of modding as a example of what can be achieved with enough effort and patience.
Hopefully you will continue to make more mods in the future and improve upon this one as I am eager to see what comes of it.
Yeah thank you, as I said it was mostly me playing around with the Creation Kit and what was possible with it, maybe if I really get into modding the game one day I could turn this into a proper quest mod with all that it takes.
Hi, playing this amazing mod and reached Helheim. I killed the dragon and stand befor the door to Hela's Hall. How do I proceed? There seams to be now way to open the door!
I'm writing this before finishing the mod- as you suggested I went through the first area and then decided to leave and go do something else (Needed higher Magic resist before taking on the spriggans in the second world!). The first area was challenging, but not unmanageable. My first impression of the world was "Wow, this place sure is empty", but then, as I explored around I did get that ghost town vibe you mentioned. The custom weapon model for the 2h sword there was really badass! This is an excellent job for your first mod. I do agree with one of the previous commenters that the portal location is a bit strange, but with all the mods there are for everything in Skyrim- it's hard to find somewhere new to put something. I am looking forward to diving back into the dungeon soon!
Thank you :) , I'm glad you are liking it, even tho I made it I know there are things that could be a lot better, I just didn't had the experience, as I learn more about modding I come up with things I could've improved, or things i didn't implement because I simply didn't know how and now I do, in the future I will probably remake the same idea, but in a larger and higher quality scale.
I've encountered an issue. In Helheim, I defeated the dragon, and looted his corpse. I went to the doorway at the other end, but there was no tooltip telling me tp press E. I tried reloading, and now the dragon doesn't appear. I tried reloading from a save in niflheim, and playing through again, but the dragon still doesn't appear, and neither do the skeletons in the hellway. No idea what is wrong.
I don't know, however, open the console and write coc Valhalla06BF ,wich will take you to the other side of the door, i don't really think there be a problem, probably tapping the door more times will open it, i had this issue once during testing, and it was just the angle that i was looking at the door from.
Interesting mod. Only tried the first area so far and its really weird, but I like the custom equipment I see in the screenshots. Only thing I would like tho is a better place for the gate. Its right in the center of that Bleak Falls area when it could be out of the way, like on the snow path just before the stairs, so it doesnt conflict with mods that change that area.
With that first area i was kinda trying to give some cursed ghost type of village vibes i don't know if it worked, as to the other thing you said i guess you have a point is just that bleak falls barrow is a nordic dungeon, and the mod is based off from real norse stuff so i didn't really thought it twice.
No actual world tree, worst mod ever, deleted it from my computer, called the cops, called my cat, called my aunt, and threw myself off a bridge.
Seriously though, the fact you used all vanilla assets was a very good choice since it lets people use their own re texture work, the areas look interesting, and there seems to be a good amount of thought to world building from what I can see from the screen shots, I'm defiantly interested and am going to dl it and try it out to see whats up.
Dude.... I've had this idea cracking in my head for ages about a new game play Skyrim version. To do with Ithilia or her power. Shes an ESO daedric prince. the prince of path. "multiverse" and I've been thinking when my Dovakiins story is done, that she finds this strange gate and walks up back in time... But things are different...
i would use this mod to like "vomp" different path and then creat a brand new story with a Dragonborn in a different Skyrim. And i've been thinking of a door portal to use for such stories. So this will do fine!
