Adds a huge amount of variety to the Fire, Frost, and Shock enchantment lines by integrating over 1000 new weapons and 6 new elemental enchantments.

Expanded Elemental Enchantments

Expanded Elemental Enchantments adds over a thousand new elemental weapons to the game by expanding the Fire, Frost, and Shock enchantment lines. The experience maintains a vanilla feel while increasing the power and diversity of elemental weapons and allowing them to level with the player all the way to level 80. 

There are full lists in the images below, but ultimately this ended up being WAY more weapons than I realized I was signing up to make. There are nine classes of weapons including Crossbows, nine materials of weapons including Dragonbone weapons, and twenty new enchantments per weapon. There are also some adjustments to the leveled lists, such as fixing lazy programming in vanilla Skyrim that caused bows to be added without arrows and some lists to never present a weapon at low levels


Extended Vanilla Enchantments:
  • The base fire, frost, and shock enchantments have been given six new levels, for a total of twelve levels of enchantment power.
  • All of the new enchantments have been placed on weapons and incorporated into the proper leveled lists.
  • Regular enchantment lines (think iron daggers) tend to have three levels of enchantment per weapon (levels 01, 02, and 03 for iron). Expanded elemental enchantments extends that to the remaining three levels (04, 05, 06) along with the six new levels added by EEE (07-12).
  • EEE also incorporates elemental crossbows and Dragonbone weapons into the higher tiers of the vanilla leveled lists.
  • All vanilla lists now have at least one weapon at level 1, ensuring that every NPC who is supposed to have a weapon will actually have one.


Weapons Covered:
  • Each combination (Iron Battleaxe, Iron Bow, etc...) has 10-20 new weapons added to their list that expand and diversify the vanilla elemental enchantments.
  • Weapons Types: Battleaxe, Bow, Crossbow, Dagger, Greatsword, Mace, Sword, War Axe, Warhammer
  • Weapon Materials: Iron, Steel, Orcish, Dwarven, Elven, Glass, Ebony, Daedric, Dragonbone

New Variations of Fire, Frost, and Shock Enchantments:
Each element also gets two new variations of their enchantment. These are a lasting damage enchantment and an eternal damage enchantment. The other is a new line based on the synergy of that element. These are incorporated into the leveled lists at appropriate levels relative to the base enchantment line. 
  • Freezing Damage, Static Damage, and Burning Damage - Cause damage over time
  • Eternal Fire - Fire Damage + Additional Fire Damage over time
  • Eternal Frost - Frost Damage + Ice Form/Chance for Paralysis
  • Eternal Shock - Shock Damage + Chance to Fully Drain Magicka



  • I cannot emphasize enough that this ended up being over a thousand new weapons. I really did my math badly at the beginning of this project. But now there is TONS of variation in the elemental weapons available to the player.
Quality of Life Changes:
  • Adds new potions that dispel ongoing elemental effects (Such as the Potion of Warming that stops Freezing Damage)
  • Adds over a dozen new arrows to the game
  • New Bandit Arrows (Such as Shabby Arrows, worn Arrows that are less effective, or Punching Arrows that hit with extra force)
  • Elemental Iron Arrows that do a small amount of elemental damage
  • Elemental Daedric Arrows that travel as fireballs, icicles, and shockballs
  • Fixed Errors in the Leveled Lists that caused some items to literally never be attainable 
  • Allowed some Leveled Lists to select from their full set of options instead of always choosing the best option
  • Added Crossbows with Bolts to most elemental bow lists
  • Added Arrows to most elemental bow lists
  • Added Dragonbone Tier to most leveled weapon lists


Installation and Compatability:
  • Install with your mod manager
  • A bashed patch or other patcher is recommended. Expanded Elemental Enchantments touches several weapons lists. If you have other mods that add weapons it may interfere. 
  • With a Bashed Patch from Wrye Bash, Expanded Elemental Weapons is compatible with everything. Without a patch EEE needs to go low in your load order and will overwrite other mods that affect the weapon leveled lists and lists such as the BanditDeathItem list.
  • Expanded Elemental Enchantments will generally use any enchantment texture overhauls you have and will not have any issues with that.


NOTE ABOUT CLEANING THE MOD:
  • I have checked it through my magical mod programs and I do not think that there are any game-breaking errors or anything that will cause anything bloat or a CTD. However, there are a few things lingering in this mod that I am deliberately keeping for a future update. These are things like leveled lists that are not currently used by any actors. If you notice anything that you do not think should be there please let me know and I will fix it.


Frequently Asked Questions:

Does this cover any enchantments other than the Fire, Frost, and Shock lines?
No. Honestly I ran out of summer to work with. But my dream was to do this for all weapon enchantments.

Can I expand on your mod and work on other enchantments?
You can! But be warned it is way more work than it looks like. If you do this you are welcome to upload it either as a patch or as its own file.

Is this mod compatible with Frosted Nipples: Ice Magic Makes Your Clothes Fall Over and Causes You To Moo Like A Cow?
Bro I don't know. Go touch grass weirdo. 

Why isn't this an ESL?
I don't have the energy to turn it into an ESL. The CK says I have 106 more records to work with but SSEEdit won't run the conversion. I gave up after like two and a half minutes because my load order is only 60 mods long. If youhave too many mods, try deleting some of your unnecessary mods. Ask yourself if you really need Explicit Twerking for Ginger Characters and All Children Do The Griddy When Dragons Attack. If you don't, try deleting one. 

Why didn't you include Stahlrim and Nordic Weapons?
It was a lot of work and I got tired.

Why did you use Wyre Bash and not SkyPatcher or [insert some other utility]?
Because I use Wyre Bash. I like the way it works.

Why are you so selfish?
I spent all my generosity trying to give a darn about whatever was being said at my last staff meeting.
