don't konw if you need it anymore, i found an untested way to fix it with FNIS. i'm not a native english speaker, so if you find my post unclear, plz reply
i assume that you install mods with MO2, not simply cover game files
1. to start with, you need to know basic usage of FNIS
2. find the directory where you installed the mod. there should be a dir named 'meshes' in it
3. in the dir opened in step 2, find a dir named 'animation', whose path is '(your mod dir path)\meshes\actors\character\animations'. there should be .hkx files in it.
4. create two new folders called 'female' and 'male' in the 'animation' dir
5. download two versions of the mod, you can simply unzip these two file, find the .hkx files and put those files into corresponding dir created in step 4. for example, put .hkx file of male version into 'male' dir
6. now you can delete all the .hkx files in the 'animation' dir, but leave those in the 'male' and 'female' dir alone
result example: |--(your mod dir) |--meshes |--actors |--character |--animations |--female |--(some .hkx files) |--male |--(some .hkx files)
7. update FNIS behavior
that's all for it. hope you can enjoy the splendid work of the author
This worked brilliantly, thank you! For both FNIS and Nemesis (Nemesis is recommended), make sure you also click the checkmark next to "Gender Specific Animations" as shown in the screenshot below. You don't need to download anything else, but if you've followed the steps in nathan2859's post above, you need to tick this box to let FNIS/Nemesis know that there are gender specific animations in the folder structure that it should actually look for.
I dont know why t his is not more popular I cant stand vanilla-gorilla animation! few days ago I found New Animation for Running with Bow by Dimhon and it was ok, I though it was the only one that exist, but your is even better. thank you so much!! :)
Anyone know --- imagine only author would--- if the idle animation for this rescales the bow. I am having some of the most absolutely weirdest issues with my bow scale being different for: [on back], [animation of pulling it out], [idle], [shooting].
Xp32, the skeleton mod I use, adds a "fix" for female weapon scale. I am wondering if this mod somehow modifies the weapon scale and in doing so, adds to the scale change from xp32.
Best mod on the nexus! After having tried this i can no longer go back to the gorilla style running with a bow. This should have been the vanilla animation for bow running. Bethesda needs to take inspiration from this for TES 6.
I think there is something conflicting with this mod, because whenever I pull out my bow, my character just stands as if there is no weapons in his hand, and there is a different running animation as if my character is running without a bow
Similar to this, but my character has animation when running: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJ7hnFoqcxo
For running, Try something similar to the following: Run FNIS and make sure "xp32's New animation for running with bow" is checked. Check for conflicts with Joys of Perspective. Check for conflicts with Motion Sickness Begone. (This was one culprit for me, I uninstalled it.)
I had a problem with running forward on both First/Third Person. Eventually I managed to fix the problem. If that doesn't work, try disabling any animations mods you have, and start one by one.
Is there possible to add another option to have vanilla idle/ready animation when standing with bow drawn, a bow drawn but stand stright kinda wierd when in middle of combat ^_^'

it is possible to remove the running animation and exchange it for this (Female Sprinting Animation (Optional) but only in the races with the bow ?
thank you
