Hello! Yes, it's likely one of those. Whereabouts is Redwater Castle in your load order compared to these landscape mods? Basically, if you load anything after Redwater Castle that affects the terrain in the cells where the home is, that mod will overwrite the landscape changes for Redwater Castle. So this should be fixable by moving Redwater Castle down your load order so that it loads later.
I really like how nice and compact the house is but I have two questions. 1) Is there a particular reason why there is only 4 children's beds when Hearthfire allows up to 6 2) I saw that you have a few house mods and was wondering if any of them have an actual display wall for some of the more unique objects like dragon masks, dragon claws, and elder scrolls. Always a nice thing to have but not as nice as linked storage that is pre labeled (favorite feature of this house)
Thanks! No problem, happy to answer those: 1) Space constraints, basically. The interior isn't huge so I wanted to limit the number of NPCs. 2) None of my existing home mods have that kind of display, no. But I am working on one at the moment that will include unique displays on an optional basis (basically the ones you've listed, plus the Black Books).
Thank you! Yes, I'd be very willing for you to do that. A few people have asked about Xbox availability, but I've hesitated to do it myself because I only have PC and can't check the porting process has worked properly. Just let me know/share a link once it's done - and thanks.
So I’m testing it out on Xbox . Everything seems great except that the ceiling in the attic keeps disappearing and showing the sky above. I thought maybe it was an issue with Elfx but that wasn’t the case. I didn’t see any reports of this in the posts. It’s very possible it’s being caused by something else in load order.
Do you have any insight on what could be causing this? I’m going to try it out with a minimal load order next.
It was depending on where I was standing/ looking. But I figured it out. It didn’t like me optimizing the textures. I uploaded it as is and it was fine. I’ll have have it published shortly and send you the link. Thanks again!
I mostly play XB and this occurs sometimes. The Proudspire TNF plus, that I believe is also ported, has this issue too in the kids bedroom, but the celling is actually there, I traveled up with the collision ring from the cheat room, thinking I will place something else to cover that hole...like the sovngarde sky from Campfire Unlashed - Wild Fires mod (yes, it lets us place a half dome with sovngarde weather on the inside, in the xbox terrain, nuts, I know, but super useful over pools in cold climates). However, when I made it above the calling it was there, just when looking bottom-up it isn't. I thought it was a lighting issue.
Hmm... unfortunately I'm only on PC so I can't do any troubleshooting or offer any advice here - it would have to be up to the porter to figure this out. Hope you find a workaround though - I like the idea of dropping the Sovngarde half-dome into the space!
I believe the porter resolved the issue. I ve been playing for a bit now and your house is great, really... it's so stable I am surprised. Like many popple I have my own quirky filing system that required me to add some furniture such as chests with mods that let us furnish, and I'm not having any issues. ...And rugs, for some reason, I felt a pressing need to add rugs to the castle lol Sometimes decorating custom homes is tricky as they eventually crash, but your one prevails.
I just came here to say that this is my new fav house. If you use it with iimLenny medieval replacers, you got yourself a real castle. p.s. thanks for letting this to be ported to XB!
Hi! I'd have thought so - none of the locations overlap or anything, and due to the way Skyrim handles mods, even identically-named assets should have unique IDs. I think you'll be fine, but let me know if not.
Hi spleen! If I want to replace one of the banners I.e. the high hrothgar banners for one from another mod (gryphon banner from beyond reach better meshes) is there an easy way for me to do it? This is my go to end game home now and would like that banner for my roleplay character! 😊
I'm not familiar with a way to do that within the game... someone might be able to advise if you ask in the Nexus forums though? As an alternative, I'd like to say I could patch the mod to add that functionality in, but I'm afraid I won't be in a position to do that with this one any time soon. What I can promise, however, is that I'll look at building an option for custom banners into the player home mod I'm working on next, so that this functionality is there from the start. It's a great idea, so thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the reply! no rush you've already done loads for this mod!
Oo what are you working on next? is it another castle/fort? :P
I look forward to seeing what you do next!! I normally keep a few horses in a playthrough (about 3) so hoping for a slightly larger stables or maybe a paddock in the courtyard ;)
Seriously though, your mods are awesome and my go to along with Kraeten's mods!
Thank you! That's very kind of you. And yes, it is a castle (how did you guess? Haha). I'm looking at doing a larger one than I have before, but it's in the early stages and will take many months yet (I don't have loads of time for modding at the moment), so bear with me.
I was able to do this using Enead's Banner replacer; the files are open and can be easily edited with gimp. I changed mine out for an Ebonheart Pact banner

im using
Atlantean Landscapes
eFPS
Skyrim Landscape and Water Fixes
Nature of the Wildlands
one of these might be the culprit im not so sure. Mod isn't conflicting with anything which is weird
