The only solution to that I knew of was this mod - CBBE Bodyslided Default Clothes Replacer for Vilja by Piranha91, which:
- + does work
- - requires one to download other (rather large) armor mods.
- - works only for CBBE
My solution here was to just replace Vilja's clothing with similar vanilla Skyrim outfits.
The benefits of this approach are:
- It just works™
- Depends only on your configuration of Skyrim - which Vilja replacer you choose, what vanilla armor replacer you want, whatever body for her you set up - it will all work as you want it, cause this mod just looks at vanilla armor records and accepts any changes you make to them. TLDR - this will adapt to any outfit replacer/body you modifly Vilja/vanilla outfits to
What has been replaced:
- Vilja's Green Dress -> Clothes (0006C1D8)
- Vilja's Blue Dress -> Clothes (0003452E)
- Vilja's Night Gown -> Chef's Tunic (0001BC82) (may seem like a weird choice, but it looks as close to real medieval nightwear as vanilla outfits go)
- Vilja's Wedding Dress -> Wedding Dress (00088956)
Important notice: only mesh/texture references are replaced!
This mod doesn't change Vilja's armor record names, her DOFT or anything like this, meaning it won't break any of her scripts based on her outfits (i.e. the wedding one).
- Download this mod, install it via your favourite mod manager
- Put this mod's ESP below the original Vilja mod so that it loads AFTER any mods that alter Vilja's armor records.
- For CBBE/3BA - 3BA Vanilla Clothes and Armor or CBBE 3BA Vanilla Outfits Redone
- For BHUNP - BHUNP Vanilla Outfits (AE) or BHUNP Skyrim Vanilla Outfits with Creation Club Support
